The genuine one works longer but is not value for money, the local can be replaced at every oil change
Atlas honda does not use oil based air filter, those are aftermarket ones
The genuine one is oil based yellow air filter. Local air filter is good for 4-5k km.
It is yellow but it is not oil based. Its a dry filter.Oil based usually refers to the old air filters that used to be dipped in oil
What is the normal running of Honda's 5w30 SN engine oil? 3000 or 5000km? Or i can change the brand in 5w30? Need advice. My previous car that was also Honda was running on ZIC 10w40. Never used Honda's 5w30 so that's why I am asking
I have noticed something strange for some days that is fuel bars drop 1 or half even when car is stationary for 10-12 hours or more. This happens more when car's fuel gauge is approaching E and range meter also drops range by 1 or 2 km even for 100-200 meter drive. Is it something wrong with ECU or Fuel level sensor
Didn't find any noticeable leaks
In Urban settings normal running of 5w30 SN is about 5-7k km.Honda is recommending 0w20 genuine Honda oil nowadays for newer cars.
10k highway, 8k city
Walk around the car and sniff it, there will be a small leak from where air goes in and fuel vapours out. Usually the petrol cap
Ok i will check.
Although your mileage appears to be normal for city traffic, an ECU scan and throttle body calibration could be beneficial. Try a reputable tuning facility in Rawalpindi or Islamabad.
Kindly suggest one. Because normally they just scan and clear the codes only; lacks the proper analysis capabilities.
I just opened a fuel lid and heard a hissing sound while opening the cap like you normally encountered while opening the fizzy drink bottle cap and i think that's normal in summer days. No strong smell. But when I put my ear near the hose it sounds like a constant whirring sound from inside the tank.
With the lid closed, sniff the lid, can you smell vapours? If you are in the twin cities. Go to rehman autos, ijp road, guaranteed from diagnosis
I just smell it. Yes i can smell vapours but smell is not much. Also I Opened the lid again. It still made a hissing sound and time is 7:50pm right now. Temp is not that much.
That means there is gas, your cap is probably faulty
Where i can find the genuine one? Who will check that its actually faulty? Because according to my inspection its tight and i can hear the clicks on tightening it.
Are you in Islamabad?
Honda's oil is sourced from idemitsu. They offer high quality oil. Honda recently upgraded their 5W30 to SP from SN. You might be able to get an increase of 1-3km/l if driven on 60-80 speeds.
