Honda city 1.3 refuelling problem

I have just got my new car and it has just ran around 300kms. I have been using Hi octane for better efficiency. So what happened today was I went to this Shell pump oppo Baitul mukkaram masjid Univ Road and asked for a refuel of Rs. 700, to my surprise even after refueling the gauge was at its old position, I thought it might raise in a bit but it did not. I returned to the pump again and asked the person if there was something wrong but he said everything was fine at their end and it was the car's fuel guage fault. I then again asked for a refuel of Rs. 500 but still the guage remained at it's old position completely as it is.
Can anyone here tell me what could possibly be wrong here, my fuel gauge considering the car is brand new or it's something wrong with the pump. What should I do now?

Rs 700 or 500 are enough to put you in doubt when the fuel level is on lower level or near to reserve
Get your fuel tank full and then observe IA you and your car will be fine.

Yep, it was on the lower level. Yeah, I'll go for the full tank now. hope it gets fine.

City ki fuel guage ko 500 k fuel sei koi farq nahein perta. iss mein kam az kam 1000 ka fuel dalwao tau guage hilti hai apni jaggah sei.

Your gauge is perfectly fine. You drove too much after the reserve light came on, as someone else said just get the tank filled completely to check it again.

No, the gauge is perfectly fine. Next time, fill up as soon as the reserve light is on.

One thing I noticed whenever I got tank full

Normally a filler will pour extra petrol in the tank to make a rounding figure. This will result into error in gauge calculation (IMO).

Last time happened with me, and reserve light was ON at wrong gauge position.

Same happened to mine city18. First i had refuel of 500. Then unfortunately i had argument with guy. Then i oredered another 1000 but needle did nt raised. Then i waited for around 2 min and then it came to normal. Pump guy said that it is happening now a days. Dont know it is problem with new models or is normal

I think you should not bother other than taking battery lead off and then on. Both of them. If it works, fine, if not then wait for couple of weeks to go and see honda digital techicians in Lahore or Islamabad. Insist for replacement of both tank sensor and the gauge. Tell them you don’t ve time to waste in workshop after buying a brand new car.

Brother new city fuel gauge only rises if once you fill atleast 20 liter.
I took delivery with 2 liter in tank and refueled 11liter immediately with reserve light on. Situation did not change.11 liter means quater tank but still reserve light on. Again filled 24 and it immefiately rise to max. Once fuell full tank guage started normally. Mind it thr indicator at center does not count its half tank.

I think this issue occurs when you refuel vehicale while during your car is in start condition
always refuel your car in off condition
