Honda city 1.5 cvt aspire vs Honda civic x 1.8 ivtec facelift

Hey guys I wanted to compare the reliability of these cars, I know they are from different segments and that on paper the civic is a better car but I wanted to know about the reliability of these cars and which one should be preferred for long term usage.

if we are talking about both brand new then civic any day but if we are talking about a used civic and brand new city then go for city aspire 1.5, its a good car esp for city traffic as its dimensions make it very agile to negotiate in tight spaces fulfilling your appetite of a hatchback and on long route it becomes a sedan. The only thing I didnt like is the thin tires and bit hard suspension which I am positive can be cushioned a bit by increasing the sidewall in new tires.

Allhumdulillah I m very happy with my Civic x FL. Obviously no comparison with a city...

If both are used cars, reliability would depend on how the previous owner has kept the car. With newer cars, it doesn't even matter what mileage they are anymore. When new, both are reliable cars with plenty service support.

City is more reliable than Civic X. Civic X have many known issues as far as I have read on this forum.
Rust issues, AC issue, etc.
The steering rack issue was previously only limited to Civic, but now it's found in new City as well.

why hasnt honda been able to rectify this issue ? are they giving same style racks on purpose to save money.. they should redesign the steering rack as the issue is still there in 11th gen civic which is not good.

The steering rack is very light and easily gets damaged on rough roads

Not sure what they are doing. They should have learned the lesson after Civic X. It shouldn't have reappeared in Civic XI and new City.

City GM6 didn't have this issue globally. Then came the GN2 (7th gen sedan) in international market which was plagued with steering rack issues just like Civic. But when GM6 was launched in Pakistan, it also had steering rack issues.

This looks like Honda either moved to the same vendor or similar design as of Civic.
