Salam everyone, so yesterday I changed the axles of my car, I bought kabuli axles in genuine condition from sultan ka khu and told my mechanic to put in in my car, so he changed the axles and while changing some of the gear oil which is cvt comes out, he collected it in a bowl, after completing the work he filters the oil with a mask which he was wearing and put that oil in gear, I can back home but today I noticed some slight notice when I put car in Drive mode, noise goes off in neutral. What is causing this problem. Your suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
Could be two reasons. Transmission oil quantity has been reduced. Or the oil has been tainted with something else because of the bowl.
check the oil quantity first at cold and at hot engine temperature.
replace CVT oil once again. are you the first owner and have been changing oil regularly?
Thanks for the reply, I've checked the quantity it's normal, secondly this sound is not constant, it's more when AC is turned on.
I'm not first owner, I've brought it been in a very good condition, does replacing cvt is optimum?
Replace the transmission oil immediately then.
yes, i'd say get it replaced two or three times rather... i mean drive it for a couple of thousands kilometers and replace the transmission fluid again. by doing so, in my opinion, the impurities that might be stuck inside the transmission system would dilute and clarify with each oil change.. normally, whenever you buy a used car, remember to change allllll it's fluids no matter whatever the previous owner tells you.
Thanks alot everyone, can you people recommend me some good mechanic here in Islamabad or rawalpindi, I'll get my car inspected from him first.
Secondly please guide me about what fuel should I use, I usually mix high octane with normal fuel in 1:2. Is high octane good for Honda engines?
I believe, even normal fuel would work fine, provided fuel station is well reputed, respected and recognized.
Prefer fuel from Total, Shell, and / or lastly PSO.
HOBC, or mixing HOBC with normal gasoline would also work fine.
I would suggest Burraq Autos (its preferable, and details here and here), or Auto Reforms.
Firstly change the cvt oil with new one Kixx cvt will do the job secondly my mechanic (Bilal) is located on Kuri Road on way to Bahria Enclave , he is a good mechanic with experience at honda production line and also equipped with all proper tools and computer scanners for honda. i'll share his contact if you wanna go there.JazakAllah.
