AOA guys, i have honda city 2004 since last year. The car was doing good till 2 months back but for the last two months, I am facing gear switch issue.
This happened first at motorway when i was on 100kmph speed in 5th gear and gear itself shifted to neutral, at that time i ignored by thinking my leg might be touched. This happened twice during my journey from Islamabad to Lahore. But for last few weeks this is happening randomly on above 60 or 70 speeds in 5th gear that gear lever automatically comes to neutral while car is running. Also, i feel resistance in gear lever in 5th gear, i tried putting my hand on 5th gear while driving and felt that upin acceleration the gear tries to come back.
Discussed this with neaby mechanic he said, gear needs to be opened and gear specialist will further tell the Solutions as gear box needs repairing.
So, i need your opinions based on your similar experiences that should i go for repair or kabli one.. also pls share some tips that how i can get the kabli gear checked at the time of purchase.
