Honda city 2006 automatic low fuel average

Asalam u alikum!
I recently bought honda city 2006 automatic and I drive it approximately 250km an it is giving me an approximate average of 7.5km per liter. Any solution? And normally what should be the average of fuel?

w.salam. It should be giving a little less than 11-12km/l in the city as it is automatic, what is the mileage of your vehicle? is it the orignal engine or is it changed?

First of all , get all the necessary stuff done which is replacing air and oil filters and oil. Cleaning the plugs injectors wagera. If you already have done all of the above would you mind sharing what oil viscosity is poured currently in the car. The auto variant’s average should be around 10 at least.

My fuel consumption was very bad for my 2004 honda city, it was due to the the rear 4 plugs being covered in oil due to oil seal leak. My coils were also broken and upon changing the seals and coils both the pick and average has improved significantly.
I am not sure if this model has a catalytic convertor but if it does that could also need cleaning.

First of all change all fluids as preventitive maintenance. Then check the spark plugs. Clean throttle body and sensors.

As per meter reading 1 lac 17 thousands, engine is changed

Air, oil filters and engine oil is already changed and the tuning of my car done yesterday let's see what happens now.

so it seems the car is probably driven a lot which is why engine was changed, make sure your wheels are perfectly aligned, tyres are balanced and fully inflated at 30psi. These little things can be considered if you want to further improve your fuel average.

I do hope the wiring and everything else was changed along with it if it is a different type of engine, idsi engine will give you a much better average as opposed to a ivtec engine.

it is written on top of the engine, usually a plastic cover has it written on top of it, you could share a picture of it as well.

to check the fuel average I would fill up my tank when warning light shows up, fuel up around 20 litres and see how many kilometers till fuel warning light shows up again. You could do this repititively and get a pretty good idea what your fuel average is
