Honda City 2006 tuck sound from Steering?

Salams, can anyone help me understand this . . .
While i cut to left, there is a brief tuck sound heard, almost at the same position of turn, what may be wrong?? I hear it coming somewhere from the steering shaft. Please help.

It's either the steering assembly or the half axle.

thanks for reply, i wonder would it be axle if i hear it only from inside, just around the steering rod.

I recently bought a city 2006 myself and hearing the same sound. Though I got the whole assembly opened for it, but could not find the issue. Just check if the plastic cover that hides the steering rod behind the clutch and brake is in tact. Mine was removed by previous owner perhaps to put a lock to over-secure his car. If your plastic cover is in tact, then the noise is definitely coming from the axle, otherwise perhaps this sound is always there but supressed by the plastic cover.

Let me know if you get it fixed, so I can get mine same way too.

This clunk sound is usually produced because of bad tie rod ends(can be inner or outer).

same here, i hear this sound when i steer left, even if the car stands still, but my cars plastic covers are all in place

u might need to get the steering column greased only.. i had the same sound coming from my civic 2011 when turned right.. i claimed warranty and they just had to open up the steering box, grease it and assemble back... and boom.. it was perfect mashallah
