Honda City 2006 vs Honda Civic 2006

Salam Friends,
I sold my car recently to buy a new one. I am considering buying a Honda Civic 2006 model or City 2006. Apparently I am getting confused in deciding which one among the two to buy. Apparently both of them are coming within my budget so I am good with that however I have seen some good clean rides recently which has confused me to the level where I simply cannot make a solid decision. Personally I have not used any of them so I really do not know which one is better. I almost decided to go with City when I did a test drive of Civic 2006 yesterday and also fell in love with Civic. Today I encountered a City 2007 which was one of its kind. Civic 2006 is also in amazing condition and so is Honda City.

Can someone post there opinions here which way to go and why ? Should I choose Civic or should I go with City ?

Simply go for 2006 Eagle Eye Civic ( try to find a neat clean and well maintained top of the line version VTI ORIEL PROSMATEC) ... it is no doubt the best car ( in tht budget ) much better than all others ALTIS 2006 , lancer 06 , sunny 06 , city 06 Infact better than current Xli and City ... rest its upto u , ur saying after test driving City u almost decided to go for it lolz... then really i cant help u ... But my sincere adv wud be , simply go for Civic if u find one in awesome condition ...Drive , comfort , features, pick / acceleration , resale and parts availability , durability and reliablity everything is just too great

however i never came across a single clean civic exi or a low mileage driven one
i am happy with my city idsi.it was a blessing in disguise cause u cant go more economical in 1300cc category then that(keeping in mind how cng+petrol) shot up and still going up.

plus u will note suspension sounds in a civic driven 1lac even,which is not the case in city

@InNoCeNt_DeViL: Sorry I edited my post. What I meant was that I had decided to go for City but just for the sake of testing did a test drive of Civic 2006 VTI Oriel and fell in love with it. Apparently the problem is that I am in love with two where as I have to chose 1. Thanks for your valuable suggestion though. Appreciated.

Go for Civic VTI Oriel other wise CITY 06. same i did for myself. City has far more better fuel consuption then VTi.

but city is better in mileage,i own oriel prosmatec,it also does 14-16km per kg of cng in city drive,dont know how much city does

@chaudhary9: In Civic you think the Automatic is the way to go or one should go with manual transmission. I am personally a manual transmission fan but not sure if I will be having any advantages in getting an automatic transmission over manual ?

city gives around 150km in city n around 200 on motorway

i miss manual transmission when i want to floor it otherwise auto rocks in everything esp when u pass through a series of speed breakers or u r stuck in dead slow traffic then u praise your auto transmission so i love my auto car even though manual's pick would be better but i dont race so no issue

I own a city, and CNG average of my City is around 135+ in city with 98% AC on, (i usually turn on AC after Cold engine light turned off) on long it gave me 220 with FUll time AC.. no idea about petrol or without AC, cuz i bought it recently 5 months back. and thats 07 Model

there r hell many thing in city which r way more good then eagle eye civic
1st of all finding a neat clean civic eagle is hell time difficult then finding a 06 city
mostly civics r ruined n the 1 in just good condition r demanding 1250 n 13 crazy hunh:S
city steering, cabin silence, drive smoothness, trunk, fuel avg, hand brake is just a step head to civic
my vote for city
06 r sellng 10 + these days try to increase ur budget little more n go for 08 idsi

So finally after getting a lot of votes for Honda Civic VTI I went ahead with it. Pics are attached below:

Model : Honda Civic VTI 2005 (Registered in 2007)
Total Mileage : 83000 KM ( Only Petrol)
Bumper to Bumper Genuine, No touch ups at all and Islamabad Registered.

What do you guys think should be the price of this car roughly ? ( Just want to know some estimates from experienced Honda Users to make an idea if I purchased it cheaper,higher or almost in the range)

You are right. The guy is actually on Pakwheels and lives in Wah Cantt. I had a mechanic with me who checked the car for us and he also confirmed that no putin or something is applied on the car. The tapping thing you do to check if the car is having touching on it also did not show any symptoms of being accidented or touched at all. Also the seller was a very nice down to earth person. He is manager in POF Wah Cantt and My grandfather was his boss before he got retired and my uncle still works with him. To be honest with you he will never fool us atleast because he know that we can get back at him any time.

I have purchased it for 895K yesterday. The mechanic with me confirmed that there is no work required in the car except some electrical work because of lack of skilled honda mechanics in Wah Cantt. The suspension and engine is perfect. It is only driven on Patrol and the engine is in water throwing condition. I hope you know what I mean !

but keep in mind even denter is unable to tell u the exact repainted portion only painter can do that n u said mechanic did this for u lolzzzzzzz
