Honda city 2007 Vario giving jerks when put in D or R

I have honda city vario (auto) model 2007. Mileage is 150,000. When I put it into R or D it gives jerks. But when the car starts moving in D its fine. What can be the problem and solution?

If it just happens early in the morning or when car is cold, then maybe it is because temp of transmission oil is not warm enough and if it gets ok, when driven a bit, then it shows the temp of transmission oil gets in a driveable range. Plus one more question, when did u last changed the CVT oil of your car?

Mostly when car is cold but sometimes also when i have driven the car.
Car has done 25k KM on this CVT oil. I changed it two days back. The jerks have reduced by 95% but not completely removed.

It might be calibration issue of CVT, please get your car scanned from HDS.

I dont think this is due to issue in CVT. It may be from coils (which may need to be changed) or bad quality petrol or air filter. A friend had the same issue for some months that his Vario used to give 2-3 jerks sometimes when he was accelerating but after a while the problem went away completely without major mechanical work. Can't recall the exact reason due to which this was happening but it was most probably one of the 3 I mentioned above.

Hi All,

Got the car checked from Honda. They said its the issue of belt in the gear. They mentioned to do the tuning which might solve the issue but it did not. And according to them the only solution is replacing the gear. I have the video of car when making sound but I guess here I cant attach the video. If any one can provide the expert analysis I can share the video.

Engine mounting and transmission mounting are fine. Engine sometimes consumes oil but now I am using Shell 20/50 so its fine. The gear oil was less which I rectified. Avg on local is around 13 and on long around 15.

Can this be gear issue? From where can I get expert opinion in Islamabad?
