Honda City 2008 installed L 13 A engine Kabuli

I have recently installed kabuli engine in my car. Honda city 2008 auto with cvt gear.

It is L13A Japanese engine.
The mechanic has removed a part saying that "yeh v tec hy aur yeh ap ki gari mei function he nahi hy".

I have installed complete engine not half assembly. Just want to know whether that part should b removed or not ?
What will be its impact on overall performance and fuel average of car ?
Shall i get that part connected again ?

That EGR. If ecu doesn't support it then no use.
Change the wiring and ecu with it then you can use it, otherwise you are just wasting your money and will end up in troubles.
