Honda city 2009 ac problems

ok guys i recently observed a real poor ac performance in my car....went to this ac mechanic near pechs girls college..he said that the ac gas has diminished...and that since no leaks are evident from the front it must be that the cooling coil leaking..for the mean time i had the gas refilled...ac went to fine for a couple of days..but then it started loosing its mind...sometimes its gives off real cool air....sometimes it just plain goes flat...at high speed the cooling is fine but at lower its poor...when its actually cooling its as if alls fine and top tier...so what could be the issue...is it really the cooling coil...or should i get a ac filter fitted in (the car didnt come with one)...and also for how much can i get a brand new cooling coil?
p.s i dont knw much about cars so kindly be a little elaborative

there is no ac filter fitted in...should i get one fitted in?...and when i got the gas refilled the guy said he would service it...he just sprayed high pressure water under the front grill...i dont knw much else...what else does ac service include?..i dont normally get any work one on my car personally..its always the driver but since hes off on leaves i (a noob) have to get all this sorted out!.

Add Ac filter if there is a space, the performance will be back.

First place the ac filter. You can buy from 3s dealership easily.

AC Service include removing of condenser and clean it properly, evaporator core and blower fan washing and cleaning, checking the ac compressor and addition of oil if require, checking all ac pipes for leakage, check condenser fan speed, top up the ac gas etc.

i am facing exactly the same problem.i installed ac filter but of no use. now i am gonna go for the complete ac service from honda
