Honda city 2010 ignition switch problem

Hello pakwheelers....i am facing a problem from last few days....my car's ignition switch is causing me headache....initially when it started as when i put my key in ignition switch,it took a bit effort to insert the key in ignition switch....as if there is some blockage ahead....but now it got worse....i had to push they key hard into switch and it gets in after 2 or 3 hard efforts....now i noticed that it also stuck up when i try to get it out from switch....i tried the spare key but it happened to that also....need suggeations wat to do......any solution as i dnt want to get loot up from local mechanics

Go to dealership service or to a good mechanic to get the issue fixed. The key might get break.. Then you will b in more trouble.. I have faced the same problem.. When there was a problem in ignitition which then led to key stuck in the ignition and then when I again and again tried the key broke into two pieces.. Though the car was xli in my case..

I did.it many times.....but it made the ignition more harder to enter the key

Any idea....how much it would cost me from repair to change of unit

Not sure about city but i think may be fixed under 1k , or else around 5k, if needs new unit + labour charges..

Brother just go to lock maker he will fix locks this is a common issues in hondas as they have worst lock quality
They take money according to car like he took 500. FOr my margalla 1500 for my city and 2500 for civic so better to negotiate

Did they changed the lock or just repaired it in 1500

I actully paid 1500 for three ignition both doors and trunk lock so its preety justified
