Honda City 2010 over 1,00,000 Kms.. A good choice?

What I was told that genuine mileage would show 80300, not 080300.

No bro. these digital meters are 6 digits (for showing kms in lacs) so if a car is run 80 thousand something, the meter would show an extra 0 before 80 thousand like "080300"

Yep, drove that out of Honda Point myself in 2010
Recall.. the day you got your beautiful City a decade ago Remember the reading was like 000018 or so kms (factory to showroom distance). My 2015 Aspire is currently showing around 048000... so they start with 000,000km reading.

100,000 kms is nothing if Periodic maintenance is carried out properly.

I inspect any vehcile based upon visible wear and tear not ODO readings which in most cases are tempered.

This generation Honda City GM5 have visible wear and tear spots which i can estimate it's usage from, Steering, A.C Button, Hazard Button, Head Liner

Yaar basically I had my father's corolla gli 1.3 2008 model and I have my city 1.3 2017 model...and most importantly I have changed city's tyres....what I have found is that city tends to be more fuel efficient....it is more stable at high speeds...has better road grip....tends to handle better....driving on a highway is an absolute joy and yes it generally seems more responsive than corolla gli...corolla on the other hand does have better suspensions...but I feel the drive is not that smooth...the fuel efficiency is not that good....road grip is not that good...I don't know ...people might like it...but I like the feel of city more...so it is a personal choice....

I also like city due to its shape and compact size. yeah with corollas the road grip is an issue. just tell us how much difference in the suspension?

Suspension if I give corolla a 9 I would give city a 7 as I have changed its tyres to softer ones of Goodyear eaglesports 185 65 r15...that tends to make the car a lot more comfortable...on smooth roads it absolutely flies without any vibration....I drive mostly in Islamabad so I could be wrong about others perspectives...even on some good to medium bad surfaces I have gone through it does not seem so bad....on some really bad surfaces city does start to fail and even tyres can't weave their magic....but on the whole....not bad...

City is a fine car even well above 100,000km. My 2009 has 173000 km and still runs just as good as 2018 aspire we have that has only 6000km on it. Been getting offers of 1400k for it but I’m keeping it. As long as it’s been maintained properly the engines are bulletproof.

I have had experience of buying a honda city car driven 134000KM in an excellent condition . I drove it till 160000KM and than sell it in same condition. I never found any single issue in that car. I think you can also be able to find such car but may need some time so keep searching it.

Honda city is as reliable as a Toyota man..done 80000 km...with no issues....

Mileage doesn't matter as much. What really matters is that where it's driven regularly like the kind of roads and periodic maintenance carried out or not. You can only judge these things by inspecting the car. Not from pictures.
My 2004 Cultus is driven 185k. Except for radiator, Still everything is original in it. Even clutch is original and still fine. Only requires regular oil changes.

So inspect the car thoroughly, specially interior and engine bay, it will tell you a lot about the history of car. If any jugars were done or not

As I mentioned inspection will tell whether a car is worthy or not, seeing mileage alone won't tell you anything. I can show you cars with less than 50k km that need overhaul. 2018 models which are more beatup than 5-6 year old cars.
