I want to ask that my Honda city has been drive 1 lac km and i bought it recently i have no idea that when previous owner change the gear oil and i have no idea about and car gear lag sometimes should i change the oil immediately? Get honda mtf from honda 3s dealership, usual manual transmission fluid (mtf) from other brands are not compatible. Wud cost u arnd 1500rs per litre
I went honda 3s dealership today they charge alot 4000 for gear oil can i use another brand oil from local market can u suggest any other oil like kix caltex and how much quantity and who will change it ?
As said earlier, u cant use other generic brands. Honda manual transmissions are one exception.The closest match is 10w30 or 10w40 engine oil as mtf.Original honda is around 1600rs/litre and it takes abt 2 litres
