Honda City 2011 brakes noise! Need Help!

Hi guys,

I own a City 2011. I am facing issues with the brakes. When i press the brake pedal in slow speeds, the front brakes makes noises like grick, grickk, grick.. like something is loose. I got the brakes services and got the disk pads changed, thought something is wrong with the brake pads and this might solve the problem. But after few weeks the noises appeared again same as before. I got the brakes again checked, and the mechanic just put grease on the brake pads. The noise disappeared for few days but after that it appeared again. I went to Honda Pit workshop and the guy asked me to change the brake calipers as the brake calipers pins might have rusted and making noises. I got the brake calipers (kabli) from Bilal Gunj in pretty good condition. Got it changed from Honda Pit and noises disappeared for few days. But now again the noises have appeared same as with the old calipers. That means my old calipers were also fine and the issue lies somewhere else, also i have reached to the conclusion that when the brakes pads have grease on it the noises don't come but when they are dried noises appears.

Anyone who have experienced same kind on issue, please guide me how to get it fixed.

P.S. Noises don't come when braking at high speed.

Use geniune honda brake pads.
Cheap brake pad causes this issue. I'll tag you to another post where some guy posted the same question.

I'm facing the same issue, i'll be going to the showroom to get it checked, maybe @arslansarwar is right as we have used aftermarket brake pads, this might be causing the issue.

Get the rotors checked. If wrapped resurfaced them if they are not too thin. Otherwise replace them.

Sounds like rotors are warped, which brake pads did you get? Use genuine parts and drive without hassle.

The rotors seems to be ok, i got them resurfaced last year as they were producing vibration while braking along with brake service (without changing the pads). That time the brakes were fine, but i am not sure it was because of the grease or the issue was developed later.

Pretty sure your rotors need resurfacing.

Nissin brake pads are no good. The quality has gone down the drain since last 2 years. Use oem brake pads for optimal braking. Or try akebono brake pads.. best for the buck.

Guys do not apply grease on the brake pads and / or the brake disc. It is bad for your braking and can cause the brakes to slip.

My brakes were also giving noise and slight vibration when applied. Serviced them myself. Applied grease to the moving parts recommended by the OEM as they were bone dry. Now they are as good as new alhamdulillah.
I highly recommend doing this small work yourself if you have some workmanship and know how.
Did they apply grease to the 2 caliper bolts on the top and bottom? The ones that have rubber boot over them and on which the whole caliper moves in and out? Cz people forget this part and it is the most important part.

The problem you are facing is due to brake caliper pins as well as brake pad guide pins getting dry as mechanics here use normal cheap quality grease that gets dry quickly. By oem standards silicon grease, supplied with oem honda brake pads should be applied to brake caliper pins and copper antisieze for brake pad guide pins.
