Honda CIty 2013 AC issue

Hi everyone. I'm facing a problem in my Honda City 2013 , The AC of car works for 1 hours or so perfectly but then the cooling and blower fades away, what can be the issue?

THis is a prevailant issue in many ivtec citys.. it was also there in mine it was 2015 facelift.. in city driving the ac used to work fine but on longer journeys the ac stopped working and the fan speed also used to decrease....checked the thermostat and it used to be covered in ice.. one mechanic told me the ac was tripping probably due to gas leakage ..took it to honda dealership and they always told me that the gas and ac is fine ..the problem only occured on longer journeys when outside temp was higher .. eventually sold the car and later came to know that this problem is caused due to a faulty ac evaporater coil..this same issue is also there in civicx..just shows the level of quality honda has started giving lately. My advice will be to check the ac evaporater coil.

gas is low, you have a slow leak. Ustaads refuse to believe a slow leak is possible.

Simply get the gas extracted by the ac machines dealers have and check the quantity extracted. 420grams is the amount. If its less, find the leak, fix it. Oring could have hardened.

I went to honda center rawalpindi peshawar road. The electrician said the gas needs to be refilled but when he checked the pressure it was full. He then said the gas is converted to air after 10 years. This seems like a stupid logic. Might be evaporator coil issue i'll get it checked

and how did he check this? If he says gas is converted to air, im sure his 7th sense told him it was full.

I went through the same bullshit logic given by all dealerships. In the end the gas was less, because 1 o-ring on the condenser had hardened that caused it to leak over time. I changed all the o-rings, refilled appropriate compressor oil, 4th summer now, perfect cooling.
