Honda City 2013 iVTEC (AUTO)

Hello experts,

My Honda City 2013 is giving extra bit of (extra white color bhaap) in the morning along with a sore type of smell from the silencer specially when the car is cold (in the morning). I am also noticing the fuel millage is not good i..e not more then 12.5kmph driving locally in Islamabad.

I have done its tuning from the local mechanic, cleaned all its sensors, throttle, catalytic as well. But the performance of the car is not that good. Can anyone advice me what could be the possible reason?

Spark plugs are normal.
yes its white smoke with smell for few secs after 2,3 mins of start.

Yes, start almost 2,3 mins before drive.

First thing is that in winters, before rolling out, warm up your car for around 5 minutes and if its CNG i think a bit longer. In this way the engine oil circulates completely in the engine and parts are lubricated. Also check your engine oil level and condition. The WORST that could happen is loose piston rings. This will cost you some bucks.

A 30 second warm up is more than sufficient, engine warms up faster and efficiently when driven with a light foot till optimal operating temperature is reached.

I followed the same protocol in an environment much colder than Islamabad and everything worked out great.

May be it worked for you but i think 30 sec is pretty short time to attain optimal temperature + its not that it ruins engines with in days, wear and tear is more when engine runs below optimal temperature and the symptoms become obvious slowly with some passage of time not immediately.

Yes, agreed but i said that's the worst case of smoke coming from exhaust. Whitish smoke is mainly due to cold starts and engine running below optimal temperature. Also it is more obvious on some days and less obvious on the other. This also depends on the outside weather conditions just like some day the air we exhale is kinda visible and on the other day it's not. The humidity level and temperature of environment is also a factor.

Thanks guys for sharing your experience. Can anyone advice me which Spark Plug is best for 1.3 version Honda City Automatic? I mean, is there any specific # we need to check ??
