Honda City 2016 1.3 AT Very low Fuel Average

AoA. I bought a used Honda City 2016 1.3 Auto. The car has been drivin 124000 km.

The car's Fuel average is around 9-10 in the city. I still haven't checked the average on the highway.

I conducted the car's e-tire tune-up at the Honda Service Center. It cost me around Rs. 93000. It included everything from oil changes to filter changes, throttle body, spark plugs, back-wheel brake pads, etc. I also cleaned the catalytic converter.

Before this tuneup, the car's average was around 12, but now it is around 9-10.

What could be the reason for this? And how can I improve the car's average?

Is this car average, ok for this model as I have read that this model usually gives this much average?

Urgent guidance needed.

Suggest you search this forum for a solution using the search tool provided. I am sure others have experienced the same problem.

Before the "tuning" was your fuel average good. Who advised you to go and get a "tune up". Concept of tuning does not exist with modern EFI cars. Tune ups were done when cars had carburetors and contact breaker points.

Modern cars need fluids and filters at the specified time. Spark plugs and timing belt at 100,000km.

in most cases o2 sensor become weak try some kabli sensor first. you need to see waveform on scanner. if its response is fast ans sinusoidal then its ok otherwise change it

Valve clearances have been adjusted wrongly or the oxygen sensor has gone bad in all of this.

Usually the average is 12-13 local
And 15/16 long. Have got this but friends have pulled around 18 aswell on long. So maybe they've messed up with something or any part used is not placed well.
