Honda city 2016 cigrette lighter 12V socket not working

fuse was blown. . .but i did not figure out how to open front plastic lid to access the fuse box easily?

I have the same issue, i think fuse was blown. But i used a mobule charger with it. Although it was a good one but know socket is not working.

mine fuse also blown due to mobile charger. . .chk urs too its a 15A fuse number 13!

It gets blown up when used with non original accessories that draw more current than it could provide, hence blown fuse. I never ever use these car mobile charger accessories available from local shops. Better get Xiaomi car chargers if you really need car mobile charging.

Or Anker chargers they cost more but they are very good.

technically it should not be blown as it is 15A at 12V while car chargers are 1A at just 3.7V. . . !

But it did blow out which means it tried drawing more than 15A. So you never know the way these chinese things work, hence try avoiding them.

bhai jaan aagay gari ki choti battery hai uspr aap gari ka lighter use kr re hein, i highly recommend ppl having cars to remove the lighter and put it away in your house, ysing car lighter is a very clean way to damage your batteries since batteries of 1.3 l car are quite small so save yourselves from the trouble

yar bhai aap lighter jala rahe gari ki battery nai likn lighter aur uska socket aagay jaakr kaam krna chor deta hai, ive been driving since 13 yrs old changed many cars along the way and i have experienced the same problem!

The procedure is given in the manual of how to access the fuse box. Its simple. Just open the coin box at the right of the steering wheel. Pull it upwards and you will have view to the fuse box. To fully access it there is a knob at the bottom of the driver side. twist it to any direction and pull the sheet down. All electric wiring will be easily accessible then. The figures for this process are in the manual as well.

Bhai I have kept cars having 35 Amp batteries (mehran, khyber) and 100 Amp batteries (Current 1.8 cars come with 45-50 Amp Batteries), battery size doesn't matter for the short amount of time the full capacity of the accessory socket is utilized. My 20 year old khyber is still on genuine accessory fuse, socket and lighter while corolla has sometimes needed it twice a year (sometimes due to audio system overload and sometimes due to faulty phone chargers). Neither the socket nor lighter stop working if kept clean and fuses are changed when burned out.

Car lighter doesn't damage battery .. All electronics r designed on amperage of car battery .. secondly lighter takes very less power .. nothing wrong in using lighter or its socket

aux power socket fuse is blown when the charger used is not properly fit and causes spark and overload .. make sure contacts r clean .. no rust and no loose items in socket
