Car in question is Honda City 2015 automatic. Odo is 70K. First owner car. So from last 3 month I hear some sort of metal grinding or loose metal nosie from inside the steering. Noise only can be heard when driving on a bad road or uneven roads in a straight direction. I took it to Honda Quaideen and they said, it is EPS steering box issue and thus need to be replaced. I mean the whole steering assembly is supposed to be replaced. The estimate they have given was 75K for a new whole EPS steering assembly with labour around 100K.
So I took it to Shah Jee in Saddar they charged 10K and repaired but steering got very tight but there was no noise on uneven roads. But after a month steering become loose but the noise is even worst. So I am standing at point zero.
I would really appreciate if someone can actually help me out with this problem. I want to keep the car for a long time but I certainly don't have 100K for the steering assembly. Attached is the picture of the part that Honda dealership shared and exactly this needs replacement.
I am in Karachi. Pls advise.
