Assalamulaikum everyone! Hope you're doing well.There is something I've noticed in my City, is that the gearshifts are really jerky from day 1 of purchase. It has approx. 7k kms on the odometer till date and i was just concernec is this normal? Is this a flaw in this model or doe Automatics generally do this? I've driven a Civic 1.8 and i didn't feel jerks in its transmission although i know it has a different gearbox.JazakAllah
It's simple automatic, not CVT, so it jerks while changing gears. It's normal
Yes it is jerky in the initial few gears And overall it is a jerky kinda transmission Clunks and claks.Not very refined.
I have 1.3 automatic city but I really don't know if I should call the changing of gears as jerks. There is very smooth feeling of gear shifts and no jerks in fact. I would suggest you to visit Honda dealer and get it checked.
You get the feeling of gear change but it is ignore able if the RPM is below 2000.
I have 2012 Aspire Prosmatec and i feel jerks too, nothing to worry it's normal. even in civic Prosmatec you'll feel jerks.
p.s. I love those jerks it makes me feel my vehicle is alive unlike a CVT!!
brother what I meant was Shifts should be felt but its somewhat not as refined.
you are expecting aisin warner type shifts from a honda automatic.
its like asking for a steak from a tikka vendor. (not going to happen)
