Honda City 2018 Issues

Hi All,

I recently bought a 2018 Honda City MT 62k driven as per the owner. When I bought the car it was driving fine but yesterday I sent it to workshop for the detailed checkup and the following jobs were done:
1. Engine Oil Changed
2. Oil Filter Changed
3. Air Filter Changed
4. Disc pads and break shoes changed
5. Engine tune up (which included tappet adjustment, throttle clean up and computer checkup)
6. AC gas charged (as the ac was not performing upto the mark)

Now after these tasks I am facing the following issues:
1. A tuk tuk sound is coming from the car while its moving
2. Without AC the car is performing well but with AC turned on, the car is giving slight jerks and it seems like its missing fuel may be till 3Rpm. After 3 rpm the car accelerates fine
3. The ac cooling is still not upto the mark even though they charged the gas and installed new AC filter.

I ll be grateful if somone could help.

atlas pakistan made hondas are prone to have ac issues including subpar cooling(the fan airthrow also lessens due to ice forming on the thermostate ) classic issue of a faulty evaporater coil even the civicx has this problem..the fix maybe to take it to some mechanic or ac shop other then dealership.. as all they do is argue that its fine and the problem persists.

This is why car maintenance should not be left to local mechanics, I ALWAYS buy the part myself from ndestore or partscentral and call my mechanic to fix that part on my doorstep.

What you are facing is just perks of trusting people blindly.

yes from somewhere other then the dealership ..as they wont accept that its an issue..mostly this ac problem occurs on long drives in city driving it rarely occurs .so the dealership just brushes your concern off with its fine.

welcome...no i dont think so the jerking,missing problem may be related to bad quality petrol, or spark plugs which you said are fine so i would suggest putting some hi octane in the car ..from shell then check if the car misses or not.. even 1k worth hi octane will do the job.

I believe I ve found out the issue.

As I mentioned earlier that a tuk tuk sound was coming from the suspension after the brake pads installation but I was actually wrong. The tuk tuk sound was not coming from the suspension but instead from some AC part. Because I could hear it on idle with ac turned on and it vanished when I turned off the AC. Also the loss of power / missing is felt when AC is turned on. Without AC the car accelerates smoothly.

The car was working fine even with AC turned on but the cooling was not upto the mark. So I took it to the workshop and they told me that the gas was not full. So they filled the ac gas and this issue of loss of power/missing and tuk tuk arose after I got the AC gas filled. The AC now is somehow working fine while the car is in motion but at idle it doesnot work.

What could be the reason?

Get it reinspected from the concerned workshop and ask them to diagnose the issue

Can anyone guide if AC compressor can be repaired? As it most probably seems to be some problem with the ac compressor. If it could be repaird that would be great as the weather is about to change in a month and I can get the new one in the next season. If it cannot be repaired then what should the cost for a kabli compressor from Bilal Ganj, just to make sure the workshop guy doesnot rip me off.
