Honda City 2018 Mudguard scraping on speedbreakers

I've owned a City 2018 for about 6 months now. The thing I'm concerned about is that on some speedbreakers especially in areas like north nazimabad, the underside of my car is not coming in contact, but the front MUDGUARDS are especially the right one more often! I've been navigating through the same streets everyday and this issue has risen since about 2 months ago. I got it checked from Honda and they were like there isn't any issue it's just so annoying to go hell slow on almost all speedbreakers in the northern part of the cities. Is anyone else facing the issue? What's the cause? What's the solution? Also will applying side skirts solve the issue? And are mudguards removed when applying sife skirts? My wheels are 185/65/R15 not looking to change this size

My ‘09 city scrapes the mud flaps on speed breakers too. They haven’t broken off yet in the past 9 years of constantly scraping so I wouldn’t worry about them much. Running the same size tires as yours.

Mine too.... i have Aspire 2018 and front mudguards get scrapped on some of the speed breakers in Gujranwala. I am using the stock tyres 175/65/R15. Its annoying but gotta live with it as i dont plan to change the stock tyres.

Try crossing it diagonally when you see a problematic speed breaker. It helps on most of the bumps.

front mudguards are removed with side skirts on. That could help.

It's common issue. You should try to cross speed breakers diagonally, it usually helps in such situations.

My city used to have the same issue. Issue has been resolved since I changed tires from 175 to 195.

175 to 195 only increase the width of the tyre, not the ground clearance. Hypothetically how it could help

in 175-65-R15: 175mm is the width and 65 means that 65% of the width is the height and 3rd one is rim size.

so in 195-65-R15: 195mm is the width and 65 means the 65% of the width is the height and 3rd one is rim size.

Okie got it. But 195 results in bad fuel economy. Isn't it so?

Difference isn't too much but the relief on car underbody or mud guards not kissing the road is evident.

What about 185/70/R15? Would these help increasing road clearance? And would this size hurt the suspension and fuel economy?

I have heard the latest honda city have short mudflaps.
Is it possible to find those mudflaps and use it in my 2014 model?

My 2016 does the same, you should approach them diagonally and slowly to minimize damage of scrapping

scraper like sound and feeling is indeed annoying.
Suggest to order short length mud guard or try to cut the existing mudguard about an inch.
