Honda City 2018 Windscreen replacement

Dear Fellows,
A missed bullet from somewhere cracked my car windscreen. Now i am too much curious for its replacement and seeking guidance from you guys. Kuch log kehtay hain Honda walay bhi screen market se uthatay hain or ziada cost charge kertay hain. Market main screen around 8 to 10k main avail hai include fitting and honda is charging around 35k. ab ye samjh nahi aarehi k kahan se change kerwaoon as i have no idea k screen vision kaisa ho ga or na asal or nakal ki pehchan hai koi.
Please guide ker dain in detail. Original or 2 num ki pehchan bhi bata dain. Jazak'Allah

First of all, sorry to hear about your loss.

Secondly, this is the only thing which is best to be replaced from Honda dealership as the windscreen available in outside market mostly results in light spreading during the night drive. There is no thumb rule for identifying the originality of the windscreen, so it's best to get it replaced from the dealership as it matters a lot.

The rest is your choice.

However, I really don't understand about the price that you're quoting as one of my friends got the windscreen replaced of his Honda Civic 8th gen.. (Reborn) some 2-3 years back from Honda Avenue on Islamabad highway and it cost him around 12k with fitting.
For Honda City, it has to be less than that based on the difference in the size of the windscreen of both cars.

I've written many times here on how to identify fake windscreen vs genuine. The simplest way is to rub the logo from inside where it says H or honda. Then check your nail for ink. Look for Fuyao glass as windscreen replacement at montgomery if not available then go for honda genuine from the 3s and follow the easiest way to identify by rubbing the logo. Fuyao one should say Fuyao on the windshield and is a permanent logo.

No doubt, they are quoting you an insanely high price for the windscreen, try any other 3S dealership, maybe the case is different there.

I think all honda dealers have the same prices. do you have any idea if prices vary on other dealers like Honda point and city sales etc?

I'm not sure about that as I'm not from Lahore. However, it is always advisable to get the quotation from at least two or three places before finalizing.

Asalamualaikum if you can travel to Lahore maybe you can find it at montgomery road or look for Fuyao in Gujranwala market. I'm sure someone can order for you from there

No sir, the only screens available in gujranwala are xyg and others. Im trying to find it in lahore at montogromey rd but failed yet again. If you know any specific shop in lahore that’ld be really helpful as im pretty satisfied reading your posts about fuyao.

Checked there too. They’re only offering xyg and grade A. Its pathetic how every shopkeeper is singing songs of xyg tho.

No sir madina screen isn’t delivering to gujranwala and delivery charges from karachi are more than the windscreen itself, which makes up for the amount of an original one. i guess i have to go for the second best option other than fuyao
