If your problem is solved than good. But i totally disagree with this stupid logic that every ustaad has made into a standard reply. If your gas is full, all sensors working then it should auto trip before formation of ice, simple. They just quote this eg, get your ac serviced (and refill gas).
Underlying problem will still exist. I also got the same standard replies from everyone, punjab car ac to honda 3s and pit stops. It was low gas that was the culprit in the end due to a bad oring.
Hey? Let me warm up this thread for once again. I have successfully solved the problem. So, let me share you my experience in regarding to fix it. I've taken my car to Honda Fort dealership, Lahore last week. I let them know about this problem and they called their senior person to deal me. I let them know the whole scenario. He examined the AC response and quote me to refill the gas because it may cause because of insufficient amount of gas. He was kind enough that he didn't charge me to check how much amount I have left. He brought the machine and attached the hoses from both end. The machine took some time to suck the whole gas to weight it. I asked him how much gas it required usually. He softly replied that it should be 450kg. And vacuum took approximately 3mins to suck. Once this get completed the results were 270kg only. So, he told me that was actual reason it may freezes the ice. And, many of you guys suggested me the same to do so I asked me to continue his work. Before refilling the gas the machine actually check the leakage and luckily it was cleared. Once everything setup, it started refilling it to 450kg/s within a minute. And then he turned on the AC to it max throw with a lowest temperature for 10-20mins to check the pressure and few more technical tricks. He actually cleaned the AC filter and asked me to maintain my rpm to x2000r/min for 5-7mins. Then he dropped me with a closing bill with a ok report. I will attach the bill at end of this thread. And I have driven the car today in city for around 80-90kms and weather conditions were good enough today but it worked smoothly no problem at all so far. And, I really hope that this will stay for longer period of time. And, I'd like to thanks all of those people to drop me some suggestions and for those who make this thread engage, I hope this would help others in near future. Thanks for once again.
Great job done by Honda fort. What is the name of senior person who deal with you on this matter?
Haji Tariq Mehmood Sahab is the senior person on the first floor. It was my first experience visiting Honda Fort and went well - I'd say!
Similar prob. Confused bw going for this machine diagnostics from 3s or visiting mr sabir a trusted and recommended ac guy by Pakwheelers and xulfiqar. I am in khi
Had the same issue on long route. Once i stopped the car and opened bonet the ac pipe was covered with ice. After searching on PW i came to know there are several reasons for this issue. Gas low thermocouple problem avaporator prob etc. Took the carr to honda 3s today. They checked everything and found ok. The technician suggrsted to remove the gas and fill fresh one to which i agreed. Ac is cooling better than before but real cx will be after 2 hrs drive on long route. Total cost 4500.
Salam o Alikum, brother if no leakage why 180 g of gas was less? I am afraid that after some times you may face the same problem again
I faced the same problem not Honda, turned out to be ailing compressor, you must check it out as it may be another problem in your ac system
