Honda City Brake pad replacement

It might look as an add on topic, nevertheless, googling pakwheels didn't give a satisfactory clue.
Recently purchased honda city 2012 MT, 76K driven.
For past 2-3 days, I'm hearing a strong rubbing sound from left front tyre. Looks like its brake pads have gone. Could anyone suggest me if I should go for OEM parts or could for a different brand, nissin, for instance. Suggestions about good mechanic in rwp/isb about brake service would be highly appreciated.

Adding to Aliamar's advise first preference is OEM 9200/-

second priority keeping in view not to compromise on quality in Lahore there is Bilal Autos Nilagumbad who used to import Geniune OEM parts from Thailand.... I had purchased the Geniune OEM ones @ Rs. 6500/-......

In Islamabad / Pindi There must be some known Honda Geniune parts supplier other than 3/2S..... Consult them.....

regarding Bilal Autos once in Honda Fort Lahore they were short of air filters supply once.... The Foreman sent a junior Mechanic on Bike and i heard saying " Bilal Auto Nila gumbad tou Filter Phar Liya " then i personally asked the service Manager Mr. Janjua and he confirmed that they are the reliable supplier of Honda Geniune parts. There i came to know that some times the 3S used to fetch parts from them..... lolz...

Must be a supplier in pindi other wise go for Geniune ones from 3S......

Nissin used to be oem supplier for Honda but now it's not. My advice is to go for Asuki Advance brake pads as they are soft compared to rest chinese or korean counterparts and won't destroy your disc and won't cost you more than 2000rs. Else go for genuine honda Japan pads not Thailand ones which should cost around 6000rs to 8000rs. The key to good brakes is the correct way of installing and bedding the brake pads.
Search on google for brake pads bedding process and than ur brakes will last a good time.

He told a lot deal of things to be done, which I failed to comprehend, why my vehicle needs such things to serviced, like, transmission fluid change, brake fluid change, coolant change, tappet adjustment, throttle service, catcon service etc etc. I would like to mention that my ride is giving around 19km/L on long without ac, calculated by km/fuel consumed. It's RPM is also stable at idle mode. I haven't noticed any weird sound. Even then, why this needs a hefty amount of 50K to be spent? Just for a kind of mental satisfaction?

BTW, I got this vehicle three weeks ago. In these 3 weeks, only appreciable change which I have noticed is that it's cold start temp light stays for a bit longer duration, for 3-4 minutes, to be precise. Other than this, everything looks great and satisfactory. Therefore, need advice, if I should consider it's check up or not. One thing is clear, if I go for check up, the 3S dealer would definitely pin out a few problems to be dealt with.

Item 1 to 4 + Spark plugs have been changed very recently by the previous owner (in January).
Throttle body, tappets, catcon service was done at 50K, if I'm not forgetting.
I have to see if he had changed transmission, brake and coolant fluids or not.
He had changed brake pads at 40K, but now I have noticed that the front left Tyre making whomp whomp like sound, as if something is being rubbed against hard. Its only my guess that its brake pad might have gone, might it be something different.
Should I go for fuel filter change? What are the indications for bad fuel filter?
I don't know mileage inside city, as I have just driven it on highway / motorway in these 3 weeks. 5 Heavy people on board, 600 KM done for 32 liters (reserve to reserve), without AC, turns out to be close to 19 KM/L
The car was purchased at 1300K Rs from first owner.

If you are from RWP/ISB, could you please suggest a good and reliable mechanic for brake service? and any shop from where I could buy OEM pads other than 3/2S dealers? Your suggestion would help me a lot.
