Honda City Deliveries with TDD 31-March-2018

On 24th February, booked 1.5 MT City. TDD was given of 29th September.

How can you get earlier. Is it normal or some other way?

Honestly, I don't have any idea how this is possible. I got a call from the showroom guy who told me if I make the remaining payment now then I will get the car next week. I made the payment same day via pay order obviously.

But the thing is that, I have not gotten the car yet. The payment to Honda takes 1 to 1.5 weeks to clear. Last Friday I called again and I have been told that I will get the car next week.

I am guessing that I have climbed up the list because deliveries to non filers got cancelled. That is the only logical thing that I can think of!

Guys, need an advice on URGENT basis.

I just got a call from the showroom that there is a Honda City 1.5 MT available on open invoice. I am completely unfamiliar with the term open invoice and the potential issues associated with it (may be there are none but i dont know) so i need advice.

The questions are:

• Is there any risk associated if i opt for this car on open invoice?

• Would it have any impact on the registration?

• Would it have any issue with resale of the car?

Mine was booked with fog lamps but this one does not have any. The showroom guy tells me that the fog lamps amount will be refunded to me.

there is no issue for open invoice ...you should discuss with showroom guy that...open invoice will be converted to your name for tex reclaim purpose.

If open invoice will be converted to my name then will i be considered 2nd owner? I hope not.

How much time would it take to convert the invoice?

For registration of the car, will i have to wait for the invoice to be converted in my name?

The showroom person has told me that invoice conversion will take a week. He did not tell me date of invoice.

The date of invoice is expected to be 31st July or afterwards.

You got delivery but no invoice. Check the invoice date rather then TDD. CONGRATS

It will definitely be a fresh invoice since it will be invoiced as they want. What he can at maximum check is seat belt dates.

I have been told by the show room manager that the invoice will be of 31st July or afterwards.

The car had date of 7/18 on the wind screen (written in white paint). Also the delivery paper that was attached (Honda letter head) had date of 21st July 2018 when i signed the documents at the time of taking delivery.

Also, i have heard that motor registration office which used to be on Walton Road Lahore has moved to Z Block Phase III Defense. Can someone please confirm? I am planning to go there for registration?
