Booked mine 1.5 in start of may. Got the tdd of 31st October .
I even booked it through corporate channel but still. Any workaround this long wait.

06-FEB-2018 and TDD is 31 August 2018 but due to extra enforce dealer car arrived yesterday 28-07-2018 to showroom and today i'll pick it from showroom .my dealer is Honda DriveInn Karachi

Guys, need an advice on URGENT basis.

I had booked Honda City 1.5 MT Fog Lamps on 24th February with TDD of 29th September.

I just got a call from the showroom that there is a Honda City 1.5 MT available on open invoice. I am completely unfamiliar with the term open invoice and the potential issues associated with it (may be there are none but i dont know) so i need advice.

The questions are:

• Is there any risk associated if i opt for this car on open invoice?

• Would it have any impact on the registration?

• Would it have any issue with resale of the car?

Mine was booked with fog lamps but this one does not have any. The showroom guy tells me that the fog lamps amount will be refunded to me.

He also told me that if i dont opt for this now then the car will be delivered in September. I am not in a hurry to get the car so if it being open invoiced is not a good thing then i will wait till September which is not too far away.

Open invoice means that the car isnt invoiced on any name, it will invoiced in your name (Honda will sell it you).

Unlike if you buy a car on premium invoice is on someone elses name but the car is registered on your name first. and you cannot claim for advance withholding tax.

In this case everything is okay. But just check when the invoice is made it is on your name so u can adjust the withholding tax later.

The showroom person has told me that invoice conversion will take a week. He did not tell me date of invoice.

He also mentioned that if I don't take delivery now then my car delivery will be even further delayed beyond September. The reason he gave is less number of units produced.

Take the delivery thats not a problem
Just check the car before taking delivery

if Honda invoice is in your name and you can reclaim the advance withholding Tax then go ahead.

delaying delivery and everything is rubbish. you will get your car +- 1 week on the tentative delivery date.

I believe it is withholding tax for which one can claim in returns or have it adjusted for example in salary.
