Thanks, I just got my car registered.
I am sharing following information for the benefit of others living in Lahore so that their time is not wasted as mine was wasted today. It took me about 45 minutes to find the correct location.
The excise office has moved to DHA Phase 3 Z Block in the same market where there is Gourmet Restaurant. Google is showing old location which is on Walton Road and is incorrect.
I have paid total 45660 charges for registration.
Brief Process:
One has to go to first floor and get Form F and the address sticker. Form F is free but sticker will be 20 Rs.
Fill the form and attach the following:
-- ID card copy
-- Address Sticker duly filled with your address where you want to receive the documents.
-- Invoice verification and its customer copy
-- Sales certificate verification and its customer copy
Put all the above in a file
Go to counter one, hand over the file, pay the amount and receive the receipt of amount you have paid.
Then go to 2nd floor and receive the number plates by showing the receipt.
Another step that is added is your photograph will be taken while you are holding number plates. At least it was not part of the process when i registered another car in 2016.
