AOA,
I have a spare amplifier with me that I am planning to install in my Honda City 2004. I plan on doing it myself because
1- I am free from university these days.
2- I absolutely do not want to spend any money on this.
So, the issues that I am facing at this time are:
1- ::::Live Wire:::: I am unable to find a hole to pass the +ve wire from battery to the amplifier which i will be placing under the front passenger seat. Any hole in the firewall that is about half an inch in diameter will be perfect. Many people get the firewall drilled for that matter, I would like to do it any other way if possible. If anyone has an Amplifier installed in their Honda City 2004 please tell me where you have passed the +ve wire from and if your Audio expert drilled a hole to do that.
2- ::::The Remote turn on wire:::: I have changed the head unit. The current head unit is the one that came in our new Honda City 2013 (Alpine) which again I installed myself (Yes I am extremely cheap. I take cheap as a compliment) after a navigation system was installed in the new one. The problem here is that the original Kenwood head unit had a blue wire which was for auto Antenna for radio but did also work as a remote turn on wire for the amplifier so there was no issue with that one but the new head unit (Alpine) does not have anything of that sort. I dont know why we even call it Alpine, that shizz is local automate(Anyhow, that is a different debate). Now I need someone to guide me on how to get the remote turn on wire. One possible option is to get a wire from the ATT fuse and plug it in the remote turn on wire socket on the amplifier.
I would request anyone and everyone who has a 2004 Honda city and has an amp installed, to help me on these two issues. I plan on doing this as soon as I get the info on where to pass the +ve wire.
Thanks.
