city is known as best fuel efficient car. . .i got mine on 13th dec 2016. . .driven 7k km till now. . .did 2 on time inspections. . .getting 20.6-21.4 kmpL on long drives from mianwali to islamabad 300 kms without AC n 19.6-20.2 kmpL with AC at 2 setting. . .in pure colony road drives it gives 15.8-16.4 kmpL without AC and 14.4 kmpL with AC at 2. . .if i do idling AC as much as half an hour even then in local it gives 13.3-13.6 kmpL !KK

yup only manual i-vtec can do it. . .speed matters less. . .driving style does more. . .press accelerater 2/3 in start n quickly get up to 4th gear in local or 5th on highway n then maintain any constant speed as per ur control. . .avoid breaking. . .lift foot from accelerater when need to reduce speed !KK
@kamyykk I got 20.XX KM/L without AC and while coming back same route with AC it showed ab Avg of 18-19 KM/L on my Prosmatec with very light foot at speeds of 70-80 KM/H.I think if driven with attention City can do almost more than 400 KM (AVG) on full tank and maybe more.I am waiting for my first oil change and then will properly pay attention to Fuel Avg.
thats a nice figure too. it will improve after 5k kms. . .on my first drive from lahore to chashma barrage (as i am a defense nuclear engineer) colony on high octane i also got 20.6kmpL by keeping under 2500 rpm. . .ur prosmatic showing 1400 rpm at 64 kmph is a nice healthy sign. just drive under 2500 rpm till 1k kms or if u can to upto 5k kms. oil change will b due at 5k kms and filters will change at 10k !KK
well u r ryt. . .if driven vd care. . .its not 400 km (avg) in full tank. . .its somewhat 650+ kms on long and 500+ kms in local route in 37L as reserve is 5L in car gauge and low petrol light turns on at 7.9 L !KK
well this is my personal highest mileage (24.2 kmpL) from chashma to sargodha like 160 km drive without AC after oddometer showing 5200 km on digital display while going for 2nd inspection !KK

u r a lill confuzed with the speed theory. . .thats not the 100% parameter. u can get better mileage by driving at 40-50 kmph in gear 4 at 1500 rpm or u can get better mileage at 30 kmph in gear 3. . .the major thing is ur driving style and low rpm. whatever speed u drive u have to be in proper gear in manual transmission and u accelerate hard until u get max upper gear and then u keep ur foot constant on gas pedal so ur speed variation are minimum. . .the best speed of city 1.3L on highway is 80-90 kmph in 5th. i guess u have prosmatic so all u need is go speedily till 80-90 aqnd then sustain constant foot pressure and avoid braking. . .just assume ur car doesn't have a brake. . .slow it with lifting foot from accelerator !KK
first 3 inspections and oil change etc are entitled from honda outlets. . .they change mine in PKR. 2400/- for oil n Rs. 80/- for some washers stuff. . .car drive is smooth n cabin is soundless. . .honda city is made for well carpeted roads like motorways so in local roads with unsmooth surface, it feels like hard but not as much as toyota luvers claim. . .i em a type of driver that enjoy driving control more than comfort so honda is best in drive control !KK
I wanted to know speed because as speed increases so does the air resistance.So a car will consume more fuel at 120 than at 100 because it has to overcome the aerodynamic drag to keep the speed maintained.You are right about the speed 70-100 are the most optimum speeds for Less fuel consumption.
What I meant to ask was that did you notice any improvements in anything after the first oil change or you didn't notice? Why dont they change Oil filter at first Oil change?
city has best aerodynamic shape in sedans of pak. . .yup at 120 it consume greatr than 110 but diffrence is ignorable if u attain n keep 115-120 kmph on motorway. . .farq highways pe prominent hota hy due to traffic n braking. . .local route p keep 40-45 kmph n highway pe 70kmph if rush n 90 kmph if open or 2 way road n motorway pe 115kmph !KK
