Aoa friend is there any knocking issue in 2015 or onwards model on bad petrol bcz where I live the petrol is very bad and I want to take brand new honda city and I am worried about knocking issue

City has an anti knock sensor so no knocking. Never heard knocking in my city

Try mixing HOBC or may be your city's sensor knock sensor is out.

It is not advisable to mess with valve clearance of iVTEC engine. Adjustment of ordinary carburetor engine is not a big job. I was doing it with my Corolla 78 and Suzuki Khyber. But in case of vtec engine valve clearance value changes with the rpm of the car (I think this is called vtec technology). So it is very tricky to set the valves of iVTEC engines. Better to go HONDA workshop for that. It is new to me that in 2007 there was a 1.5 engine in HONDA.

It must be Honda City Steermatic it came with a 1.5 litre Vtec engine. In fact it was launched in 2006.

no its not like that, valve lift does increase with vtec but its done at roller end not tappet end . adjustment of valve clearance procedure is same as as any other car i think its 0.007 to 0.009 inches for intake and 0.009 to 0.011 for exhaust. BUT ITS IMPORTANT THAT THE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT IS DONE WHEN ENGINE IS COMPLETELY COLD

unless u do not hear excessive tick tick noise or some other issue that would point towards tappet problem avoid but to answer your question its 0.007 to 0.009 inches for intake and 0.009 to 0.011 for exhaust. BUT ITS IMPORTANT THAT THE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT IS DONE WHEN ENGINE IS COMPLETELY COLD . donot do it on an engine thats not been cold for more than 5to 6 hrs

I think he did not mean wobbling (which is due to wheel balance problem. Only once I tried to exceed 120 on motorway (Pakistani driving conditions are extremely dangerous for that much speed) and I realize that car is quite unstable at this speed. May be due to its less body weight. However up-to 120 I feed quite comfortable (May be relaxed at 100). So this car is not meant for over speeding. It is much safer to drive between 110 to 120. Time is not precious than life.

No Motorways are better and i have driven upto 170 in city there was no problem at all,not a single time i felt it leaving the ground, breaks acceleration and everything was under control, Motorway is a world class road, i dont know what else our people want in it which the road designer could not anticipate,Driving on Motorway is far better than highways, its clean,people are normally behaving,what else is required for a smooth run?

These comments about motorway must be about the newly carpeted LHR-ISB M2 section. Old one was broken, sagging and rutted at various places but still more comfortable than GT road.

Speed limit is 120 at motorway and 100 at G.T road in Pakistan. How did you managed to drive at 170?

Pushing a little more will take you to 170km easily, but dont try at home
