Okay now increasing avg is a very nice idea.....i love toying with it as well, mate give us a lil info, what rpms are you usually changing gears on? 2+, 3+,5+?Check if your tyres inflated properly? Do you have a clean air filter? Id suggest you search for the hypermiling thread here an apply those fuel smart driving tips. Ive heard an witnessed a problem with the new citys ecu, somehow the elementary school it was sent to was for v6s an v8s, so its primary education isnt good, which is tackled by Honda fiddling with it an after some new lessons it behaves like a good boy. So when you visit the dealership for your 5k service, ask them to have a look if the ecu is being batameez with you......

well i use to change gears on rpm 3 or 3.5 some time....nad air filter is perfect no problem at all....ill gona have my cars 5k service on monday.....then i will ask them for ecu.

bro mileage will improve once u reach 10,000kms.dont worry, just wait and note the mileage figures rise slowly but steadily
for now, try not to be harsh on the accelerator to get maximum mileage.

a year ago the car was soooo shiny an clean an blingy from inside, only last year did i start using the car with kids......wait till you get married an have kids.....then well see about the cleanliness bit......

it was cleaner from the inside, i never wander with open windows....or allow eating in the car......but liek i said bachay to phir bachay hain, they have to have their milk bottles an then fall asleep letting it drip all over......pure torture, i have plans to get the door handle silver bits that house the power window switches re-painted, once i have some time thats on my agenda, an then some heavy duty cloth upholstery for the seats cuz im using the original fabric...never had them covered. Anyone with any sort of idea as to how to clean these beige interiors, ive tried surf an water, nearly every aerosol can invented on earth.....no luck. Last solution i can find is pre soak the stuff i use for cleaning my engine.....will be covering them up with some water an stain proof cloth acquired from an audit of a sport bike apparel company. Lets see how much satya nas the kids can do of it......the cloth is claimed to be fire proof, heat resistant, tear proof, scratch proof an doesnt allow stains.....best of all, i can get it colour coded with my ride/s current interior.Im not a fan of leather or rexine interiors, firstly you keep on sliding here an there on it, secondly its not that comfy as compared to a cloth seat, you cant sink much inside a leather seat as you can in a cloth one, lastly my car stays in the sun in the parking all day long, God forbid i have to use it in the summer time, ill be clutching my rear for the rest of the day.

Getting back to business wala pasa of the thread, Ahmad bro change the pics of the cars in the main post, first gen pics is missin, second gen has alloys which were never given here, third gen well, sari hi modded hai....try puttin up pics of the models available here.Only my mashwara........secondly lets get to talking cityism. After the intake ive felt a slight increase in the cars acceleration (or maybe its the sound,cant make up my mind on it yet, will have to go head on head with a stock one to see how its fairing), secondly the mileage has increased by around a km per litre as well. Somehow the little problem of dhamalling with low rpms has finished an the car behaves beautifully. But be warned the noise is adrenaline boiling, awaaaaih hi dil karta hai bhaganay ko. Members whove seen it, how was the installation? Did it look out of place or natural??I took special care to have the pipe chromed to perfection an the filters colour to be the same as the cars, i hate those odd looking yellow, green an blue filters inside white or black engine bays. Even the breather filter was sourced after visting many many many shops for the proper colour. An did the drilling myself for air filter sensor, put in a peice of rubber from my old bicycle`s handle inner side so the sensor would fit in snugly an not be touching metal.

check out the overall package on this baby, ive never seen a more beautiful third gen city`s rear.

an my idea for the sticker is the phrase:

SIMPLI CITY ......get it ?? Simple +City

as mentioned before the setup looked perfectly done
could not be any better and loved the sound

yup its a beauty only third generation city with mods that actually looked good to my eyes

@ vague brother....ive read alot about awesome milage of city....n strangely my digital metre shows 11.1 km/l but 17 litres of fuel did 93 n refueling icon lit up ..... quite strange .... do u suggest i take the car to honda classic for check up? or shud i komplete 1000 kms frst???

I currently have a 2010 Suzuki swift. I need to upgrade this hatch back with a sedan.

Budget is 1.4M max. I cannot decide among the new city or XLI 1.3. i under stand its a spammed topic, but i have heard that the stock city has not a very decent road grip and drive.
I understand that xli is a barebones car and does not even have power windows.
I mentioned swift because that lil machine has a heart of a beast, man it runs hard and good. while "upgradin" to a sedan i donot want to lose a lot of fun factor which i get driving this lil car.

I would appreciate if any new city owners can help me to get to know the x factor in this car which makes this forum lively (H)

Another concern is that i have heard Honda is giving city a face lift and i dont wanna b some one who buys a car and gets the older model by a couple of months :-# (getting money for a new car is pretty damn hard)

I suggest you run it for a bit, atleast the initial few ks, def youll be gettin better readings in the future. I`ve gotten 17 in intercity an 22 on highway with my new city in manual. I hope your driving style is a bit relaxed an not ham fisted. Are you stopping idle with the air con on at places as well?

To get a good an fair average, fill yer tank to brim, keep one consistent fuel pump an then monitor it, you have a big chance of errors with small Rs.1500 or Rs.500 refills.

City's facelift is not any time soon. Honda is having hard time meeting Civic's time lines which is to be released next year, coz of the March 11 Catastrophe in Japan. I think it will take another 15-18 months before guys at Honda start talking about City's facelift.

I have owned City 2011, it is more then efficient on fuel. It gave me 12-14 with in City and 17-19 on Highways

If you are very road grip conscious and a racer kind of guy, You can always change the tires to a wider one. but remember doing it, you will pay a penalty in terms of mileage and it will make your Speedo out of Calibration (Changing the tire or rim size)

Stock tires works fine, it is to be used for normal use.

Personally, I cannot appreciate the idea , paying 1.4 million and still void of metallic colors, ABS, power windows..... Man that's a pity !!!

If you liked Swift sporty drive and would not like to lose it, I can bet you will sale XLI, with in few months. ! It is a giant with a smaller engine then its size.. HOW can any one expect any thing close to "Sporty" from this !

That is one thing I like about Honda, they bring innovation every time their new product in in the market.

City is agile, efficient and elegant. Period !

So i have some highway driving on the way home, my very first reading was around 15, ive just gotten an auto for a very dear friend its avg came around 12 nearly the same distance an driving style.

Bro i agree with u that driving a swift is very orgasmic , its a lil monster ..... if u are planning to upgrade to a sedan CITY is the best in that case as u will not loose the pleasure u were having on the swift....i suggest u to take a test drive and u will know wot m tawkin about.....grip on stock tires is good....and if u are so into grip u may sell these stocks and buy a bit wider tyres by payin a lil extra.....PLEASE DONOT GO FOR XLI! I REPEAT NO XLI! there is no driving pleasure n baar baar hatho say sheesha neechay kertay wqt socho *** app k 14 lac is pay kharch kernay say behtar tha Cultus vxl lay leta cheers! did you try carpet cleaner. it is safe for the seats and the carpet. i used it to clean my car's door fabric. the only thing you shudnt use it on is the roof cloth
