because hardly 1% of the CNG-vario owners know how to maintain the car properly! Look at the end of the main post and you ll know why...

yeah the thread was on silent mode
i ll post much clear pictures probably tomorrow... still have a lot left to do ...

heres the things that have to be done, i might miss some things...

1) complete interior cleaning (DIY)
2) Seat covers
3) Door handles (inside) silver paint (Most probably DIY)
4) One right side door repaint
5) Front headlights buffing
6) Engine tuneup
7) Front wheels bearings change (waiting for rainy season to end)
8) New tires in a month or two

So far this is what i remember but im pretty sure i ve left few things out

Why the price of city 2000-2002 is mostly more then City 2003-2005
is it due to the shape change?
Finding it hard to find a clean ride these days.

price of really really nice 2000-2002 city should be around 7 lakhs now.
Last year, a close friend got a really nice one for 675k... price for 03-05 city should be 8+ for very good cars...

Good Decision Ahmad for going for full side repaint , it will merge soon with the original color by doing some good detailing sections

Seems like this thread has been sleeping for a while lets kick its back

So, for a long time, a lot of work was due on my car. Front and rear bumpers needed to be repainted, complete left side had scratches which made my car look not-so-good.the sheets in wheel well were torn apart.one of the rear light, right side, was broken. The car lives a 7am-11pm life so wasnt getting time to get anything done
Finally, last month, i decided to do whatever needs to be done on the car.Due to ramzan n then eid, work was being delayed.Finally, the time came when the car was handed over to the workshop. Today, in an hour or two, i will be getting it back after most of the body work done.
Gave a visit at the workshop at around 2pm and took some pix. Also took some pix before the paint when the primer was sprayed but couldnt take any "before" pix because i was in Islamabad while the work was being done.

A lot of people advised against getting the whole left side painted, the rear fender was original.both doors and front fender was painted. Yet i decided that i would like a repainted nice n clean part on my car rather then a scratched original one! Plus, theres hardly any car with 5yrs/200,000kms in Sargodha that is not more then 2-3 parts repainted (due to congestion and road sense of people)

Why did not you installed also 8 plugs denso ik20? Is there any issue if we install 8 iridium plugs(for example denso Ik20) in honda city 2005(manual)?

Secondly, if anybody has experience of iridium plugs, please share the experience of installing iridium plugs with model ref).

I have also got Denso IK20. never find time to install in my city 2005. i will share my experience also.

bcz to save some money, beside i also learnt that all plugs come into play at certain time e.g like at cold start, acceleration and at high speed etc.

I have done more that 200km and fine.

@ahmed nice work, i think my car has been also painted sideways exactly sameway like yours and that was b4 i bought my car. Seems you have been impressed by "project vario".
So the paint procedure involes 1) putting primer 2) painting 3) high grad sanding and some polishing to smooth surface
4) applying compound to shine and match colour.............
How much it cost you and post some pics after work is done.

and i thought my car was the only daily runner here with a schedule that starts at 7 and ends at 10, my car is in the same shape as urs due was before paintwork, not getting its fair share of respray due to the awami love for "jenwan" paint, sheesh the fools dont even know how to pronounce that word.

Hello everyone,
I am having trouble with my city 2000. It used to give me 200Km in a 55 cng cylinder but for sometime, it is stuck only around 130km. Probably its because I had a terrible mechanic in Lahore. He installed an advancer and since then the average never got settled. Engine wiring is also a mess and I have had enough bad experiences with mechanics that I now want to do it my self. Can some one plz let me know where I can find a wiring diagram for city 2000? It would be a great help if any one can provide it here. Any suggestions, comments, help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Experts,

I have City 2004 (140k driven), I bought it few months ago. Since first oil change, I am observing slight engine oil burning. I started with Havoline 10-30 then switched to 20-50 assuming that the oil burning might be solved with thick oil. But there is no difference, it comes down to one forth at 3000 km. I do not see any oil leakage and there is no smoke from exhaust.

Is this due to faulty rings or seals of the valves?

Can it be solved by switching to another oil manufacturer i.e. Honda Oil, Shell Or Zic? OR
Should I repair (overhaul) the engine (What is the approx. cost) I would appreciate if you could suggest a good mechanic in Isb/Rwp.
