Well all the above proud city owner and seniors members me too bought city 2005 gun metallic colour 66k done on the ODO nyc and clean ride ALHAMDIULLAH
Need some help that i don't know about my CNG cylinder is that 55 kg or 50..
After buying the car i changed its oil filter,oil (havoline cng) and gave the mechanic for its tuning the problem is i m getting very low mileage on CNG in 400 rs when cng is 59.99 rs per kg the car is giving me 110-115 km in the city with AC on dnt knw whether it is less or gr8 can u help i think it is very less i have heard that city give abt 150...As i dnt have long route running i only drive the car in evening for about half an hour daily.Some ppl say that u only drive in ur area most of the time and use 1st gear thats the prob but I have noticed when i used the car for long run it is also giving me the same mileage plzzzz help me on this

sorry i may disagree brother but no positive effect on braking
road grip u can say bit increased by this thingy:)

larger rims would not effect the grip of a car.It would just make the suspension stiff, which means less body roll and hence the ride would be stable on corners.

For increased grip, u need wider thread....

for straight line acceleration, best tires would be high profile (probably slicks)... high profile means the profile would absorb the small jerks n bumps from the road and wont let them be felt at the steering wheel... u dont really need stability as you're not throwing the car around turns.

While for driving on track or changing lanes violently , what u need is smaller profile... so that the body roll is decreased and ride gets stabler.. but in straight line, the driver gets more feedback to the steering to it might be a bit difficult to control the car at high speeds..

well, i wrote that all generally, hardly any of that applies to our humble citys and corollas but still... everyone should have the concept and should decide about tire sizes according to their needs...

nopes.. did try f10 market and some shops in lahore and sargodha though... didn't find em.. all they could offer were regular plastic phattis which i hate... I will try dubai autos InshAllah soon...

and no, its a timing chain, not belt! so its maintainence free! my car touched 214500kms today and its running on all original internals... head not opened, timing chain not adjusted/changed... nothing!

First off, congratulations on ur new purchase and welcome to Pakwheels and City fan club. I'd recommend u visit this thread often and make sure u read the lower part of the main post of the topic (on top of every page).

As for ur mileage, yes, its not good. Not what u expect from an idsi! but there can be a million factors which can cause it! first of all, you are in karachi, traffic situation is worse there.then u said u drive mostly in smaller gears and that also means more fuel consumption.

Apart from that, may be ur car needs new plugs, air filter or just some CNG tuning... please get them checked. ask the previous owner about the last tunings done on the car,i.e. if u can contact him. see the maintainence schedule in the main post and see what could be missing... lastly,try to shift gears on no more then 3000RPMs... or for even better mileage, at 2500RPM... hope this will help u...

yaa i got the point the point of shifting RPM ,and tuning include all the plugs change and tappet adjustment well i will definitely look upon ur advice thx for answering

as i loved 2005 civic meter which have glowing needle at day times also but coud'nt bought civic ,so i liked to change with Steermatic or civic 2005 wat say?? i think the dye of civic 05 and CITY 05 meter are same 3 dials in both i just love glowing needles..

I pass from sargodha and sometimes visit it for shopping purpose etc... My dad has to go to lahore high court several times a month so, he passes frm sargodha regularly.

I too come there a few times in a year when going to lahore or faisalabad... didn't know u were frm sargodha.. nice to know that...

My car is on abt 198k now and the engine sound seemed to have increased just a bit... not much. however, it is noticeable if u are a keen observer...

i told this to my mechanic and he said that it could me the timing chain... but he said he had to open the tappet cover etc and we'll need a new gasket... which wasn't availible in mwi.

so i thought better take it to honda guyzz instead.

now that i know urs is fine,i am satisfied however will get it checked once i have a chance to go to pindi or lahore...

Thanks for appreciation... well...im not sure if u can fit the civic's speedometer in idsi... but u should be able to get the steermatic one installed as they are same as far as the fitting goes... but im not sure if u ll find one very easily!

well, to be honest, sound of my cars' engine has a lot... it still works perfect but sound has changed... n i ve seen a lot of high mileage idsi's, all sounded changed but that doesnt effect the performance... im not sure if its the tappets or timing chain sound... but i ll definately discuss it with my mechanic... i think the timing chain doesnt needs to be changed but there IS some adjustment for it... will update u shortly...

I have idsi 2005 and I have been noticing that whenever I start my car from 0 its steering vibrates till it reaches 50km/hr. The vibrations are not too much they can be controlled by keeping a finger on the steering. At 50-110 the cars steering does not vibrate but the car slides towards right side so have to turn steering slightly towards left to balance the ride. At 110+ it seems like the cars tires are vibrating at 130+ vibrations increase and now passengers also can fell them the car also moves towards right at the speed and the steering does not vibrate. EPS has no problem its as smooth as butter. My cars tires a bit weak but I dont think weak tires cause so much problem. I have also checked with Alignment shop as he said alignment is good though I doubt his judgement. Now please suggest me whats the problem with my car and any known well reputed suspension guy who can solve my problem and do the alignment correctly.

Im assuming everything with ur cars' suspension is fine.

It can be the wheel balancing of ur car... and this is the most likely thing. vibration is another thing and steering towards right is another. If its steering, the allignment is out, if its vibrating, the balancing of rims is not right. get both of these done and if the car still turns towards right, swap the front two tires with each other. right on left n left on right.... n yes, if ur tires are worn out, they might have been slightly deshaped... its normal for old tires... that can also cause issues...

I have also resolved my check engine light issue it was faulty knock sensor or i would say broken knock sensor it costed me 1000rs + 200 labour and light is gone now my car literally drips in morning a lot of water and awesome pick

yes, pl elaborate on the check engine light...why was it an issue in the 1st place? I have an issue with the check engine light too. The one in my car lights up on CNG when I run her in gear without pressing on the accelerator pedal. this normally happens when the revs are down to 1500 rpms.

Also my car gives me about 105 kms to a tankful of CNG (9 kg tank but CNG usually fills up to 7-8 kgs). Reviewing previous posts that seems low...

that bro is a bit mistaken or was probably was thugged by a mechanic... there is a small electrical wire grip above the air cleaner housing in idsi. whenever it gets a little loose, the yellow check light comes on. just open the bonnet, push the grip inside a bit, i.e fixing it and the light will go off...

my mechanic told me that he has been fixing honda cars since 1995 and there has never been a car that needed a change of sensor unless there was some serious issue due to water etc.
