bro, start ur car and let it idle for a few min. then with ur windows open, just depress the clutch pedal.

u will notice the car's engine change sound. release the pedal and the kir kir sound will come back. again depress the clutch and the sound will go away. this kir kir sound is not the genuine engine sound... probably a timing chain sound when it gets its position changed due to pressing and releasing the clutch.

ahmad bhai, the red circle u can see in this pic, the small grip is located right over here. start ur car and loosen this grip a bit, u will see the check light come on. i hope this helps. :)

Well first I went to Honda they checked with their laptop and OBD II sensor showed missing knock sensor. My car used to give check engine light as soon as car became hot like after 5 mins of startup on both fuels. This mechanic also used a handheld OBD II scanner and same error code was there. The knock sensor is outside of lower engine block and is opposite to radiator slightly on left side. It is attached with a big nut bigger than size of a tire nut and is of plastic and is of small size and wire than plugs to it and the wire than connects to ecu. In my case it was broken in small pieces so as soon as he fixed it the light went away now it does not show

yes, pl elaborate on the check engine light...why was it an issue in the 1st place? I have an issue with the check engine light too. The one in my car lights up on CNG when I run her in gear without pressing on the accelerator pedal. this normally happens when the revs are down to 1500 rpms.

Also my car gives me about 105 kms to a tankful of CNG (9 kg tank but CNG usually fills up to 7-8 kgs). Reviewing previous posts that seems low...

I have elaborated about check engine light on previous post. After reading your post I think of possible causes. There is no issue with your car but CNG settings get it adjusted because when your car is gear and no accelerator is pressed your car might be emitting too much unburnt gases which can force catalytic converter to send message to ecu that the car is not performing well that is why check engine light glows. On petrol it does not happen because after all the car was meant to be used on petrol so honda people have taken car of these things MAF and TPS constantly adjust timing and air flow so no check engine light. I hope you understood. About mileage is that with AC or Without. If its with AC than its normal Karachi is a crowded city so you cant get good mileage. My idsi manages 95kms in 8kg fill with AC in conjustion of lahore but on motorway and Gt road and superhighway it gives me 170-180 with AC with full load at rpm around 3500 so you can calculate the difference yourself. If its without AC than you need to worry because if you turn on the AC idsi manages 10-15% more mileage. I used to get 100km with AC now I am getting 110-115 without AC same route same filling station same time and on long with same load same speed its managing 200-210 so do check the issue

that bro is a bit mistaken or was probably was thugged by a mechanic... there is a small electrical wire grip above the air cleaner housing in idsi. whenever it gets a little loose, the yellow check light comes on. just open the bonnet, push the grip inside a bit, i.e fixing it and the light will go off...

my mechanic told me that he has been fixing honda cars since 1995 and there has never been a car that needed a change of sensor unless there was some serious issue due to water etc.

bro I can be mistaken and the mechanic can also be thug but can 2 OBD II scanners from 2 different places both be wrong it was indeed a problem of knock sensor because now car works like charm on petrol its pick is more than gas previously it used to be worse than gas. And grip can not be issue because I have a keera to every now and then check whether all plugs and wires and grips are tight or not so it can not be and was not loose

I think sound is from gear box becuse when your engine is running all cog wheels in your gear box are moving but as soon as you press the clutch most of them stop movement so that you can change gears easily. What was the last time you changed gear oil change it and see also pressing clutch does not change timing belts position hope this resolves the issue

Im assuming everything with ur cars' suspension is fine.

It can be the wheel balancing of ur car... and this is the most likely thing. vibration is another thing and steering towards right is another. If its steering, the allignment is out, if its vibrating, the balancing of rims is not right. get both of these done and if the car still turns towards right, swap the front two tires with each other. right on left n left on right.... n yes, if ur tires are worn out, they might have been slightly deshaped... its normal for old tires... that can also cause issues...

I think 75-80% of my problem can be resolved by an expert allignment man but the million dollar question is that where to find that allignment man who knows what he is doing.
@all members please help me in finding a good alignment shop in lahore

To me this sound is of alternator that takes load everytime the light is switched on and it was always there and that I have come to know of it only recently. Is this normal or there is some problem

I think 75-80% of my problem can be resolved by an expert allignment man but the million dollar question is that where to find that allignment man who knows what he is doing.
@all members please help me in finding a good alignment shop in lahore

just go to a honda dealership. ask them to allign ur wheels and balance them. they'll charge u round abt 700-800 Rs. they do it as no one does...

may be i was mistaken... don't know why ur sensor messed up at such low mileage... i mean, compared to my city and ahmad bhai's.
my city runs just like a dream..

however, i have to get somethings done like valve clearance, fuel filter change etc etc...

So guys, on 20th, I was in lahore so went shopping for my car, montgomery road.
The suspension needed overhaul, seat needed covers, the body needed some good quality wax... got the following stuff for my car

1) Chimtay 3000rs these r chinese, nothing else available
2) End tie rod and rack end set japanese 4700rs
3) Z link (stablizer bars) 1700rs
4) Cut bush x 2 200rs

5) Turtle color magic wax, specific for red color 425rs (small packing)
6) Turtle F21 dashboard stain remover 275rs
7) F1 dashboard shiner 150rs

8) Clutch and brake pedal rubbers 100rs each
9) Rubbers that hold the bonnet at its place when closed x 2 50rs each

10) Seat covers, very simple design 2000rs
11) Carpet floor mats 750rs
12) Few other rubber bits n pieces

Well, this summer, the small blueish light inside my A/c button died! Recently got the dashboard central console opened and replaced that bulb. the bulb is not blue itself, its normal yellow bulb but a blue paper lamination sort of thing is put on it to change the color. The electrician also changed or may be just cleaned the second bulb (lol, didnt notice) in the button which is behind the "A/C" this made the A/C much more visible at night and when i compared it with the other lights behind the cluster, it felt much brighter... i was short of time then, i ll get all the lights n bulbs enhanced now...

Started the detailing job yesterday thought couldnt complete it... just 3 doors done! here are the before and after pix...
The fabric is still very dirty and i ll clean it once all other jobs are done... secondly, the scratches on silver panels will be gone too... gonna get them all repainted

Just look at that! A truck load of dirt in the A/c vent actually i once sprayed the oily dashboard shiner into the ac vents and that resulted in this.

I sprayed the turtle stain removed into the vents, let it sit for 5-10min and then sprayed water inside it with pressure using spray gun. did just twice, the this layer of dust went away.

Only this thin film of dust remains now which i ll clean using cotton buds that i got today. Didnt get time today as i was getting the suspension installed.

Here are the pix of installation of the new suspension parts... took around an hour to get the main "gardari" out, in the mechanics language...
Chimtas were a mess, rack end was dead. end tie rods were fine. right side Z link was dead but left side was fine.Still i replaced all the parts that i bought.

The "guardari" is taken out. The place from where the mechanic is holding the whole thing is the EPS motor. The rod that is pointing upwards in where the steering box is attached.
