no waxing is still on, compounding with a rotary buffer means cutting the paint, waxing just gives protection and masks defects, ill do that in any case, i am against compound because you know the paint health of ur car e.g the edge of the trunk. it will make the paint too thin, waxing is best for its health

compound is only for the parts that you get painted, baki baat msgs mai mere cell par, number on hai

wax is like what you do to your car with autoshine, the only difference is that a good wax wont eat ur paint

in simple words

wax= going to do it in any case
compound = depends on factors like the mood of the senior detailer and the condition of ur paint

From where did you get all these parts?
I own city 2004 and recently I discovered that one of the pipe that throws water pressure to engine is leaking. I got it replaced by a desi pipe but the mechanic was saying you have to put in the original one, and you will find it from Bilal Ganj. I also went to Honda but they said that this pipe is not in their stock and we have to order it. Don't know how much it cost from them.
Any ideas?

Bro i bought the foundation bearings and brake pads from selected autos honda spare parts dealer plaza karachi and radiator to engine pipe network my mechenic arranged for me
What do u mean by desi pipes if u buy original then it will gonna cost around 10k if it is okay with u then go for genuine if not so only option u left with local pipes. local pipes are worth buying i bought one for my civic 2002 oriel a year back still doing the job for me.

i mentioned wiring being not played with, lemme explain, we very happily add subs and amps and external rpm meters, push start buttons, after market central locking and bla bla to make our ride more cool all this screws original wiring and thats really really bad in my opinion.

if its gonna be your first car, honestly i would say dont go for a big car, start with some alto sorta thing and then after a year go for a big car, you can understand why i said that and thats real.

now to the add you mentioned, my first look at the add and the price asked, my immediate response was therez gotta be something with this car else no body asks this much for this car and and on top of that its negotiable, the owner is gonna kill me but let me there are few things i saw in the engine bay pic and i wanna share with you

* alignment of headlights is not right, lights are sticking out of bumper
* radiator is not that of honda
* top front gardree seems to be dented
* duplicate book

i would say no.

what you need to check, its a long long list but do check all electrical should be working, AC working heater working, tyres should be good, no rust on under body, mechanical sound condition, no noises in drive, no vibration in steering, gear shifting should be smooth and ...............

me doing fine, so story goes like this that it will by only you who will find a good car for yourself, so i asked to go for small car so that you may become familiar with all the bits and pieces involved in it, and nobody asks anything less then 700k for this shape either exi or exis, i mentioned front, lights alignment, radiator and top gardree, what if it is being hit upfront, take a look underneath, and therez small things in car that shows howz good it is maintained, in the same pic the water pipe from windshield washer nozzel is hanging loose, i wouldnt bear it like this on my machine, i wonder how many other things will be hanging loose. duplicate book is fine with me if 15 record is good but for some its a big no. no body paints the car only due to scratches only, you will come to know this when you will own a car yourself, who do care about scratches they wont let them come in the first place and then therez always the detailing thread for them, and about tutorial, bro there are somethings that unless one goes through cant learn, thats my opinion about it but gain thats perhaps only me.

Thanks bro i think your foundation will be of 1500 rs. And yes window garnish is the same thing u talkin about. all the vibrations are gone now em having 0% engine noise in cabin now Mashallah completely satisfied with my foundations now

So u're telling me that the lower/inside portion of the speedometer "roof" can be seperated and then the rings can be taken out, right? i ll give it a shot again if this small procedure can give us access to the speedometer inside, it would be awesome. mine badly needs cleaning!

The fit really seems to be awesome... i ve seen people paying near 12 lakh for vitz and probox (shitbox) , the city at this price is truely worth every penny...

Hi guys today i changed foundation and wheel bearings of my city which took almost 4 hour. Now some details

There were total 4 foundations changed all of them

1.FOUNDATION THAILAND Price 1700.
2.Foundation thailand price 1500
3. Foundation thailand price 1500
4. Foundation thailand price 1500

Wheel barings original japan made price 3700 for complete set for front wheels.

Brake pad malaysian price 800

Body to engine water pipe set price 1200 .

Radiator complete service for Rs.400

Rear garnish window cover 350
Labour Rs 2000.

Work for tomorrow will replace back shockers inshallah.

BTW, were all of ur foundations out of order??? or u just changed them to become new??

nice... very nice job done... 1500rs for 3 foundations and 1700rs for another one? which one is this? my car also needs foundation, atleast one of them. the one at the extreme right of the gearbox. its almost completely dead now. will also check the other three. and btw, have u felt any change in the vibrations entering the cabin after changing foundations?
and the rear window garnish, is this that black triangular thing in the rear windows?

my city started up like "chick... gut gut gut vroooom"...

asked my mechanic abt this gut gut gut and he said a new foundation near the gear box was needed... still sticking to the gut gut though...

first of all, congrats and welcome... So nice that u got an iDsi city. Please go thru a few of the previous pages on this thread and u'l get to know alot about this car's cng mileage.

Then, if ur car doesnot perform well, Just tell us the detail of the mileage, any problems etc etc.. and there will be many people to help u out...

so yesterday, i washed all the carpets that i had taken off of my cars' trunk. earlier, i didnt take off the one underneath the trunk lid, took it off too and gave it a wash. they were all very dirty. infact a little patch on 2 of the pieces need to be washed by petrol as the stupid oil change guy put the engine oil can in the trunk n it leaked... will do it later...
