how much psi (pressure) u keep in the tires? keep it at 28psi atleast, or 30psi for better handling but only IF ur tires are not worn out... other then this, i dont think there is much one can do about a not-so-soft EPS... oh, a weak battery might also reduce the power supplied to the EPS so that might also be causing it... as for suspension, when my car had its suspension dead, most of it, the steering was actually lighter!!! after i got all the new equipment, steering got a little bit harder... did u get anything done recently?? and oh, a friend once called me from faislabad and said he has the same issue, he had some suspension jobs done. anyways i couldnt figure out what it was, he went back to mechanic and got some "nut loosened" (yes thats what he told me,not sure if thats right) and steering wheel went lighter... so u better get it checked too,and oh, when u do, as ur mechanic to go underneath ur car, take off the plug that provides current to EPS motor and see if its dirty,if it is, clean it.in my case this was the thing that caused some errors due to low current flow... and yes, the EPS light shud show up for a few seconds before ignition. if it shows up anytime after it, then u ve got a problem...
