now lets see where we end and what is the total mileage i get.. but there are few days left for me to do back :s i will try my best to empty the tank

get it insured... security system, trakker etc etc all fail very easily... insurance is the only way out. ur car is more then 5yrs old so the rates will also be less... other then that, almost everything has a solution... chor locks, trackers, gsm security systems etc etc...

yea insurance is good but its a 7year old car,they'll consider depreciation as well,i got 2.4lac for my 2005 model stolen mehran when i claimed its insurance this year.

anyways any which insurance is good and whats their percentage?

n what about immobiliser,can i get one in this model?

one think i'd like to ask u... how are u feeling after shifting downwards from civic to a city? the saving is huge but how does it feels? theres a lot of difference... power, comfort, stability, features etc etc...

well ahmad bhai, as per my experience with city and civic, the only difference is that of size, and features...

Power, stability and comfort are almost the same as civic also has a hardyy suspension like the city.

Yes power seems to be no different in both cars as city reponds to a full throttle the same way a vti responds to it...

Ever I see a Xli coming up hard in my rear view mirror, I simply let it come equal to me, give the driver a GRIN and push the pedal to the medal...

City simply pulls away like a dream as the civic does.

The "not too different" factor is due to the huge body design of the civic.

I actually feel like having more control over he car in my city rather than driving my dad's civic. Feels like :S to me as I know it starts "gulping in" petrol with every full throttle...

i ve one question as well. mine city right tail light has some dust particles inside the reverse and indicator area, how to clean it ? whats the solution for it ?

Today filled up the tank from TOTAL

Mileage= 640.7 km (first 300 km including the steep slopes of Salt Range Trunk having 50Kg Wheat Grains and 4 persons on board on M2 and first gear drive of the Rawalpindi City)

Amount = 3500PKR
Petrol Refilled=35.72 litre
Average = 640.7/35.72=17.936 Kmpl (i think it is awesome with 4 person on board and 50kg wheat grains in trunk)
Cost=5.646 PKR/Km

The pump is newly opened TOTAL PUMP in Margalla just after TAXILA (going from Taxila to RWP on left)

These dust particles is no big issue but it means that in your trunk there is some problem with the genuine fitting which is allowing the dust to enter it check out for the trunk from inside (i mean someone opened up the genuine fitting for some reason and not insulated after that which is causing the dust to enter).

Had u been in rawalpindi i suggested you the exact shop for its solution and u could fixed it as brand new in just 500-1000 PKR, but i m not sure about Lahore.

guys i have a questions to ask, for I-DSI shape city does any one belonging to RWP/ISB/WAH posses the rod used for inserting in the front bumper in order to TOW the car (in case of emergency) as i had lost mine and i checked the whole RWP but cannot find it brand new or used. So, if any one have that rod, please lend to me i will make a copy and return that. (BTW, i checked with the welder and mistri for remaking the problem is that the size of CHOORI for that rod is some strange size and not available somewhat between 14mm-18mm) so need master print to make a copy,

i-VTEC also has this rod but i am not sure that the dimensions of rod for both is same or not

ITS SHAPE IS MALE QAABLA ON ONE END and HOOK AT THE OTHER END app. 6-10 inch length....

Installed DVD with LCD touch enable also stylus comes with it, reverse cam, LCD in headrest on both the seats since my kids want cartoons(i m not that old which u r thinking at the moment:P just turned 29 on 6th March) and since i had lot of long drives so it is the best way to keep them busy with cartoons stuff...DVD includes DVD,MP3,USB,SD-Card,Radio,BlueTooth(A2DPsupport) HD resolution is supported:), For reverse cam is night vision universal camera. Headrest LCD quality is also good. I am posting the pictures here for the reference....

nice... im loving the rear LCD screens... did u change the whole headrest or got the LCDs fitted in stock ones by cutting into them? Rear view cam is also a very nice added feature, really helps specially at night....

@ahmad, well i have handson knowledge on the braking system, now lets throw some light on the fact that why we need disc polishing/levelling

[*]First factor is the passage of the time, normally the genuine disc plates(depending on the driving style) wear out with the time
[*]second and mostly common factor is that people keep using the worn disc pads until they completely worn out and this is the biggest cause responsible for discturbing the disc plate
[*]thirdly, whenever u go for a car wash or service, if u had driven long time ur disc plates are very hot and suddenly they throw cold water on the plates causing sudden temperature changed causing them to wear out. Whenever u go for a service, wait for 20-25 minutes before throwing water directuly on the disc plates.
[*]One another factor is hard braking, if u apply hard braking it will damage the discs very soon, so aovid it when possible
[/LIST]Normally , disc plate stay good for 40000km u have to get them tolled after that, mine genuine were tolled at 42k for the first time and then i replaced them around 85000km...

thats right!!! all of those reasons contribute to the "vibration" issue when brakes are applied...
well, for my car, it didnt require any toll job before 160,000kms, that too because of getting water on hot disc rotors. so , i got them polished. vibration went away but came back after a few thousand kilometers
then, i got them polished again and replaced the brake pads too but same situation after a few thousand kilometers

i had AIG insurance for my car. i dont know how much interest rates they are offering but their service was excellent... never had any issues with claims... and i dont know anything about immobilizers....

yeah i was told the same by a friend who has both of them... i ve myself scared away a lot of corollas with new city MT. infact once i was even head to head with a civic prosmatec on motorway upto 180km/h. and stability is also excellent. the only bad thing about new city is smaller cabin compared to idsi

mine civic was vti prosmetic rolling on 225/40/18s & lowered as well that car was too bumpy plus around 80k dirven,

power

: i dont pull these family sedans much for power i got 6 series & evo9 :P, lol i do shift gear under 3k rpms :P, though car is really good in power as well

comfort

: i dont feel any difference in comfort of city and civic.

stability:

stability is fine, car has got alot ov potentional, my city is rolling on 195/55/16 rims tyres, which gives some added grip on road

yar mom city has a chrome tip as well but that one is of different kind it faces downward like the corrolla stock exhaust pipe

I drive them both daily... Believe me no difference at all if one doesnot look at the features...

Civic only feels different when it drinks 4k petrol and city takes 1.5k.
