talking about the plastic sheet below engine. i ve never understood whats the purpose of it. water, small pebbles, mud , dust etc wont do ANYTHING to the engine. no harm at all. the engines is made out of very hard material. the oil pan of the idsi is made of silver. which i broke when i hit my car on a brick at 120km/h. the hit ripped of the lower area of bumper and the engine shield, so i really dont know wats that for. though i still recommend it to people and have it on my car too as it looks good an may be, MAY BE it has some use... once again, personal opinion...

no need to think, definitely fuel will be injected into wrong cylinder at wrong time. now listen to this story of three cylinder car, its a chevy classic 2005 i guess, a year can be up or down, owned by immediate neighbor and ex-boss, purchased second hand with CEL ON and rear wheel hubs running hard, only thing bad other than that was it took long cranks to start, at purchase time ok chalta hai yaar. when it came to get things sorted after couple of months culprit for CEL was found to be wrong sequence of injector grips, result CEL which was permanently ON was gone, ( this was the reason i said that i doubt little that this is the case with poster ) and increase in engine power.

now lets sum up, fuel going at bad time, and definitely burning on wrong stroke, if it ever got burned, we really dont know as car shifts to gas immediately after start, but i think it did get burnt and supplemented lil bit to the other cylinder as what ever we drove the car on petrol it did run but later only after correcting sequence we came to know that earlier engine was under powered, now this was a three cylinder engine, now implement same on a four cylinder engine !!! any ways i know it sounds crazy but thats what happened or perhaps ahmed bhai under take an experiment and let us know

well i do agree that cars CAN run on lesser cylinders then they have, like if u remove a plug or shut single injector, the car will STILL run but there wud be MASSIVE missing n jerking n everything which shud be evident even if the engine runs on petrol for 5 seconds. i do agree with all that u said mehmood bhai, but the brother who had the problem with his car didnt comment on the performance of his car on petrol. thats why i was confused...

P.S. long ago, i drove my khyber on 2 cylinders for 30kms in the lowest possible gear, the top speed was 55km/h

yar, what sort of squeaking u talking about? i didnt get ur point. squeaky engine? in my case, the bumper n all the 3 sheets are all a little bit loose n they give ugly squeaking sounds all the time. theres no way to fix it other then to change all 4 items

yaar the squeaky charging belt. it gives a constant shshshsh... sound rather than a squeak u can say.

u told me to put some grease under it but these days, AC is used quite frequently so muje darr rehta hai k grease laga di aur belt slp kar gayi to problem ho jaye ga. means, there is load on the belt every time we turn on the AC, right? with that excess load, the belt could slip IMO. So, I have to live with that ugly taxi XLi sound from my engine.

Actually bro missing wissing ka koi scene nai hai... It runs fine either that is petrol or CNG... Its just the fact the CEL light lids up on CNG while when its on petrol the light does not lid up... Otherwise if car would have been missing tu i would have known directly that y CEL lights up. Its just the fact car is running pretty fine but CEL shows up on CNG....

abt the tyre pressure, i keep 32 lbs in all tyres for max fuel economy
abt TPMS, i dont have much idea, but why do u need it in the first place. just check ur tyre pressure on weekly basis and u r good to go

yaar a simple elaaj for ur car, go to a mechanic who has an OBD II scanner in his shop. Ask him to scan ur car's ecu for error codes, dignose the faulty sensor and fix it. simple.

In most cases its the mixture sensor but surprisingly, it didn't occur in any of my cars on cng. no civic,no city no corolla.

Aoa. Alhamdulillah I got the tyres installed with new Rims today. I'll share my experience with the yoko advan db after driving a few hundred kms.

chaa gaye bro chaa gaye!!! awesome. for advan dB v551, inshAllah u'll love every bit of the drive now. I have them on my 2012 as well and I love em, especially the silence. They're a bit on the lower side when it comes to hard cornering etc but in the end, city itself has super grippy suspension and all you want is comfort, so the blend is perfect!!!

Well fawad bhai! I also faced this problem with my city long time ago. The reason was that we didn't used it for two weeks & there is some kind ov Temporary rust Causing this annoying sound. Our Neighbor's driver told me a desi tareeqa to put some water on on the Belt & keep the car running! Well i wouldn't recommend it to put water you but it solved this problem.

pls dont go for gli1.3l, i am seriously thinking to sell my 2012 xli and go for altis manual as in 1.3 l engine such huge body seems realy underpower
well i am satisfy with city for city use yes car is compact but good in feul avg and accelration

Hmm!! It looks like Ahmad bhai is planning for something new!! Well My cousin bought 1.6 Gli, ECT. Its really a great car to drive especially in case of Power Driving. & ECT gears are are also really smooth & I google about ECT, The gears on High Revs change after long intervals Providing best Pick up & Driving Pleasure! If you don't have problem with A/T & ALTIS Package (Wood Panels,Side Moldings)
Then I would prefer 1.6 gli in a good price range & do Mods of your own choice!!

Bought a super clean idsi 2008 model the other day. Just 46000 km on the odo. Really impressed with the mileage. Got 20 Km/l on highway :). Will check it up in city also.

and yaar, naah! ur issue was different. mine gives sound due to my driving style. I drive like Knight Rider through puddles of mud n water on a rainy day. Due to absence of the protector sheet, all the mud gets stuck on the belt and rotaries.

There is a clean muddy line on my cars bonnet shield, I'll show u a pic. It gives squeaks due to that mud, I'll get it serviced, proably before eid, i think it'll solve the prob.

Yeah it took me like 21 days to find a car in this condition. visited atleast 200 - 300 car owners and talked to countless potential sellers. Car was owned by a lady dr, first owner. It was in such pristine condition that i was unwilling to believe that its not been repainted. Finally hired a denter/ painter USTAAD who inspected the car and finally confirmed that even the bumpers have not been repainted. All the goodies are totally stock. Though had to pay a considerable premium to get this car. car is currently in use of wifey. will post pics as and when get some time.
ps. During my quest, came across a city 08 model which was only 250 Km driven. Gave that guy offer of 1.3 mn but he plainly refused to sell :-#
