Kill switch. security systems are BS.

Btw, I never let them install that light in there, I have around 7 of those lights with me hat I spare from security systems installed in my cars.

i was also thinking of removing it, if ur car gets snatched there is a chance that robbers dont know about the security system due to the missing light. the owner may be able to save the remote and activate the engine fuel cut.

btw the system was sounding like a crow when the car got home, i went through the manual and disabled it, now its beeps.

hahhaha... they're working great, after all, it was an added feature fitted exclusively to my car by Honda atlas guys

Paa jee, jis nay lay k jani hy na, wo lay he jaega, ab tou tracker ka b hal nikaal lia hy thief bhaiyoon ny... insurance is the best thing, although much more expensive then chor lock n security system but worth it.

Now, I have booked an aspire (MT, golden color) and have asked for delivery on 30 October inshAllah (i am currently abroad).
Will post pics once i receive it. I have already gone through the complete thread in a weeks time and find it informative and entertaining. I have already started gathering info on the add-ons that i shall do IA, once received.

I accidently stumbled upon a nice tire website especially for honda city tires. This site explains tire suitability for Asian model city in great detail.Tire sizes HONDA CITY 1.3 (2012 model for Asia )

I want to decide b/w 185/65/15; 195/60/15? what is the advice of the house. Keep in mind that this is aspire with alloy rims
Are these easily available in Lahore or have to be sourced from Karachi?

Can someone also throw some light on the kill switches described above, are they effective, availability and cost?

Well Congratulations on the booking Sir. Regarding tyre size in City, I'ld like to pitch in my share. The 185/65/R15 would be the best size for your city.

Reason being:
--Both Steel and Alloy Rims offered by Honda for regular/Aspire variants are 15x 5J (15" Dia, 5" Width). The 5" width Rim is maximum compatible with 185s. 195's are compatible with 5.5" onwards to 7" wide rims. Your sidewall would be excessively convex resulting in poor high speed stabilty.

--With 195s, the tire dia increases by more than 4% and referring to the below link, it is only recommended to increase tire dia upto 3% max. Otherwise you'll have handling and braking issues. And to mention false speedometer as well.

Now above all is theory. Below is experience that I am personally letting my 195's go and have downgraded to 185's. I was facing a hard steering, self centering issue, more drag because of the Auto variant.

u can change sounds on ur system? :o which system did u get for ur car? :o

and yeah, do remove that "light"from the dashboard.

as someone said, the secret behind keeping ur car safe from a thief is to make it full of surprises. The more the surprises, the more he is confused which leads him to a consequent failure. Unfortunately, what we people do is k install a security feature, and then go on telling everyone about it: "main aj 45 hazaar da tracker lawaaya J".

he is asking abt 195/60, not 195/65 bro...195/60 is actually closer to stock size as compared to 185/65

Hmm!! It looks like Ahmad bhai is planning for something new!! Well My cousin bought 1.6 Gli, ECT. Its really a great car to drive especially in case of Power Driving. & ECT gears are are also really smooth & I google about ECT, The gears on High Revs change after long intervals Providing best Pick up & Driving Pleasure! If you don't have problem with A/T & ALTIS Package (Wood Panels,Side Moldings)
Then I would prefer 1.6 gli in a good price range & do Mods of your own choice!!

moeed bhai just thinking about altis 6 speed Inshallha by winter will get one, colour in mind is olive green or medium silver :S altis or gli auto having 4 speed so little heavy on fuel i wish toyota should introduce 5 speed cvt

i will try to keep it simple. go for 185/65 in comparison to 195/60. fol are the reasons :
1. city ride is stiff by default, so most of all, u need more cushion than anytihng else. 185/65 provide u 120mm tire wall whereas 195/60 provide u 117 mm. though its very less, but still its better to have more cushion in the form of more tyre wall
2. city doesnt have stability issues, so u dont want more grip by widening the tyres.
3. in the present era with booming fuel rates (may it be CNG or petrol..thats ur own choice) fuel economy matters, a LOT. so wider tyres will consume more fuel

PS: go for the tyre with the least rolling resistance.

Me also like 6 Speed Manual tranny more than A/T ! Actually his father lives in dubai, & he is very annoyed of Lahore's Traffic & also because of LHD ! Well he is getting 11km/Ltr till now! & Yes you're right 4 Speed isn't so good, It should be 5 Speed!! & lets see When you get it! Well choice is yours But I like silver more ..
