Sir, you may be right. But my target market is not the new car owners.

Just for my knowledge, when people, especially the ones travelling frequently inter city, go out in the market to buy used tyres, what do you think they prefer, a new set of wheels costing at 8k a piece or used (generally less driven indicated by tread wear)?????

Do you think manufacturing date matters then, as long as the tyre isn't hardened?

Its Pakistan boy. Here only 5 out of 100 people know significance of manufacturing date on tires. The seller may be able to sell them at a good price to any paindu at a high price but not here where there are more than 5 out of 100 people who know significance of the manufacturing date.

I came to know through a friend of mine that manufacturing dates on tyres can be temper. As it cost around 200Rs to change manufacturing date on them.

I tend to disagree here. 60 out 100 know the importance of manufacturing date. We all go through basic sciences, plus everyone has google these days. So any body can tell that rubber hardens over the years especially under heat and pressure. Same happens with engine hoses.

So thats the whole point of me posting the date. So that no misconception should be there for a potential buyer. However the amount of hardness can be seen as rubber getting shiny and further over the coarse of life, developing minor cracks. Non is the case with these ones.

If you can tell when the tyre has reached end of its days, regardless of the tread left on it, If you can tell when a tread has been re-made on a used tyre, you can certainly spot that manufacturing date tempering. That Rs200 is not going to help the seller in any way.

definetly good tires, had these in my 98 Baleno, lasted a good 100k+ kms, Yes obviusly with decent driving.

Bumping the thread as the tires are again up for sale.

Changed my mind earlier not to sell them as there was nothing good in Lahore market as a replacement. Everywhere the smuggled Yoko's db 550) were available and that too in 195's again. Finally found Advan DB 551 in 185's. So the tires are now spare for me.

Will post updated pics of tires and odo for potential buyers to have a better idea.

Here are the latest pics of the tyres. Same condition as before. Just 2000km more driven. And finally replaced with Yokohama DBs.

No puncture. No defect. Perfect tyres for Civics and Corolla's. I still dont recommend this size for City.
