i've asked my mechanic last evening about the shims and he had referred me to couple of places at Gawalmandi with 50-50 chances, i am expected to goto pindi in the evening if so will detour and check for you.

does any body know how to open the tail lamps cover on an 04 Honda City ?

i've been to pindi to look for the shims and verdict from market was that if they can be provided by honda then good else this item never came to the market, so went to saddar from gawalmandi at Honda Authorize 1S and news is that pads shims are not available, only callipar/brake piston housing shim is available. system was not updated with new price, old price which was showing was Rs. 250/= for one shim.
so i think you better catch Honda authorize dealer in karachi first and then it will be kabbar market.

yaar its easy, use a heat gun, or go to a professional headlight saaf krne wala, he'll open it for you.

ok open karne ka tu bata dia, how once is supposed to put it back water/dust tight fitting?

bro simply remove lamps and make a tub full of surf water and fill the tail lights housing with surf water and dip the whole light in tub for like an hour and then shake well to clean inside just as cleaning a baby feeder and you are good to go, never ever try to open your head or tail lamps by removing face.

i tried it and its pretty cleaner then before but still its a bit dirty in the corners

pretty cleaner is way good than bit dirty, no one is going to inspect tail light with a magnifying glass, i am sure it is way better looking after washing standing 3 feet back and only that matters.

ok i started the car , then i put it R slowly started reversing it then suddenly the car stoped moving ! although the engine was running but the car wont budge
then i got out to discover the entire exhaust feel off XP

Thanks for the effort sir. I'll check honda i hope i find them. So far no noise in brakes but then again its only been a week.

Honda guys have really cool inventory system at their sale points, it was my first visit to them, i told guys the model, year and trim and required part and he showed me the explode dia gram of front brake assembly and confirmed me the required part and i said yes, rolled the mouse over the part and it didnt came with inventory stats, means part is not available, though shims with pads were shown in explode diagram but not in inventory, the other shim that goes inside the piston housing was available, i then asked him to check 97-98 civic for same part as most of our car is inherited from civic and there were no shims displayed in brake assembly of that model. i hope you find them new from honda or from market else as last resort i think you need to take old disc pads to kabaar market and see what shim fits.

i got two things up my wish list seriously, one is to sit on wet sand bare foot and gaze at red sunset over calm sea, second is to drive all the way from karachi to gawadar on coastal highway at max 70Kmph, when? that i dont know but many thanks for your offer really appreciate it.
