how about some more details

I was going to buy my college books with my mother
we sat in the car i started it everything was normal
i slowly started to back up the car
when it came over the drain (steel grill type thingy) wham ! the exhaust pipe fell off because the drain was kinda high so it broke the welding
actually the car has a bit low ground clearance and the grill is uneven and tends to rise up if a tire goes over it

i have noticed something strange with the City idsi
Why the hell did AHL put the tickly right in front of the car
the case is my car lost its tickly :-! when it was hit from front ( an auntie banged a car in it in DHA Karachi )

The story is this car belonged to my dad's friend
last year he moved to Multan with his family and kept this car
he came to Karachi to sell this City and buy An Axio Corolla
so he asked my dad to help sell his City and my dad was interested in buying it
so one day we met at Avari Tower for Iftari and after having aftari we went to look at the car
the exterior was a bit messed up (broken lights bumpers and the door ) but interior was better and the drive was even better
we didnt see under the hood but i wanted to get the car checked by our mechanic which we couldnt
so my dad's friend finally bought an Axio he handed over the car to us on 27th Ramadan
eventually when me and my brother checked the car at around 1 am we discovered no Tickly was there :@
then at sehri we asked the my dad's friend he said IDK about it what is it ? (played the innocent card)
then he said dont worry its no big deal
and left for Multan with a convey of 3 cars 2 Axio 1 lancer
and you can call it a miracle of Allah his Axio got rear ended at Nawabshah after a couple of hours of departure
but still its a good car and we are satisfied and we bought it alot cheaper then the market
Now this car is in the phase of a mini restoration and will try to get a new tickly from AHL

i got two things up my wish list seriously, one is to sit on wet sand bare foot and gaze at red sunset over calm sea, second is to drive all the way from karachi to gawadar on coastal highway at max 70Kmph, when? that i dont know but many thanks for your offer really appreciate it.

Then you would really envy my workplace. Its right at the beach. I get a very good view of the sunset from where i sit, it was pretty exciting in the beginning and we would actually sit in the office waiting for the sunset but now not so much. May be because its been five years looking at the same view. It really does screw up your car though , the atmosphere here is extremely moist which causes incredible amount of rust!! I did take a trip to gawadar via coastal highway. It was an amazing experience!! It starts with this incredible desert on the left (the one with golden sand) and muddy but beautiful mountains on the right. Going forward the desert turns in to the beach with clear blue water and whitish sand. You would even find natural palm trees but the fun really starts when you start driving up the mountains and you can see the ocean down below. When i went in 2005 there was no cell phone coverage during 90% of the highway. If you ever go there , you might also wanna check out the ormara beach. Too bad its just not safe anymore to take that route Coming to Karachi however is still doable!About the shims, I am thinking of calling the dealership and 1s suppliers. Lets see if i get lucky

yes that does make me envy a bit, coastal highway got some serious natural beauty on its banks i think if once can afford being there its a must do thing, terrain changes from this to that as you've mentioned and its pretty amazing and highway itself is i guess pretty friendly to drive, drive wise dont know the security thingy, and about the sunset, bas rehn dein, akelay nahi dekhna

dil jo kehta hai, sach kehta hai, I would've personally gone for biege room and aspire trim butsadly, honda has discontinued habanero red pearl in city. BS :S

yaar muhee aik chez samajh nahi aate, sorry if you guys feel bad about it but gotta say it, i have heard lot of it, do throw me in the face something like this that " gunjay ko kanghi ka kia pata " and i'll take it.

whats with beige interior guys, one wants to sell 100km driven car for beige interior fearing it will loose money on that someone else is fearing loss of like 300k, yaar hadd hote hai, does this beige interior adds some new funtionality to the machine or adds like 20BHP or what, i cant get it, bas beige hona chahiye. for all those get want beige and fear losses get urself original dash new from honda and install it in your current machines and it will suffice i think, change car for just a dash i cant understand, at least affiliation bhi koi chez hote hai yaar.

agree. but in my case, I only lose around 100k, that too, I'll get paid off by the addition of satnav, aala Enkei alloys, fogs, leather seats and side mirror indicators. (H)

for the 300k, that deear bhai will spend, he'll get along with the goodies of aspire trim are arm rests, chrome tipped silencer, upgraded ecu programming, trunk light, a brand new car (again :D). And IF, IMHO, one spends on a car thats meant to stay with him at least fo another 5 years, its worth every penny.

and oh, as for affiliation, well thats true. The way I am affliated with my cars, our kaptaan is,and may be you are as well, its means a LOT. but abhi vtec city inti nahi chalai, bechi jaa sakti hai.

and the City was driven in DHA i.e near to the sea
although this is an '04 model but has somewhat more rust then my 17 year old Corona
guys need opinion's about what to do about the rust ?

Well, when we went the highway was incredibly empty. We had may be 3-4 cars over take us, all vigos/Hilux. Its a great road but it can get dusty at times. We all hopped over a big bump on the road that caused by sand accumulating from the desert. We were going pretty fast like 150k on a 2004 Xli. My friend was driving and i was at the navigation seat but we both saw the very late and could not brake so just went over it at close to 100 i guess. Broke the rear bumper!. We had to stop to check for other damages but everything else was fine just had to take out the bumper to put in the trunk. Took a ****, thanked god! and continued driving!!!

About the sunset, zaada tar log akalay nahi hotay! Karachi is not that far u can make it...! Fuel up that exis!

True..! it rusts so quickly that it hurts to watch! Its like cancer spreading.

i remember xulfiqar suggesting some place in karachi to buy rust converter, it reacts with rust and converts it into primer, i dont really know how effective this thing is but might be worth a shot

sir ji apna akela pan dur karne ki koshish ke ja rahe hai, once done will drop at your city in couple of year's time sure will ride my Exi all the way to Karachi

Well, after seeing fahad's city 04, my love for the car I have has multiplied several X instantly.

Recent pics of my car, taken on eid day, no fancy detailing stuff used, just simple wash n wax after 20 days I guess. She deserved it on eid. Mileage as of that day was as in the pics, as of today is precisely 208066 kms. Car is going great as usual, though a few problems did occur, will share em over here for the good of my fellows, they require a bit of explanation, therefore have been rendered passive due to my great masroofiyat these days in studies. But after they were eradicated, the car is simply perfect.

The only thing that touches me is the nearly dead suspension (its been 9 yrs and 2 lakh kms :o) on a bumpy road, not in the city at all, during a usual drive in isb or mianwali. Tappets adjustment is due as well.
