latest update
on the way back from my office, i took the car to my decade old family mechanic, who is simply SUPERB, in a hope that maybe he can find out the problem...and tadaaaaa...he did
now this is for all the new city owners (i am not saying its a common fault but IF something like this happens, u guys should know what to check first)
so here it is....when u push ur car REALLY REALLY hard, this khrrrrr khrrrr sound starts coming. i did exactly that and the sound was obvious. so i rushed back to the mechanic shop and made the car stand over a pit (the one on which they align the wheels)....my mechanic got down in the pit, told me to put the hand brake on and leave the clutch a little in the first gear...small lil jerks....offcourse, the sound was still coming. when i wud press the clutch, it would vanish. so finally, he told me to put the car in neutral and then he shook something under the engine, and YES...the sound was still coming. i went down eagerly to see the problem, and it was related to exhaust. the exhust, from where it originates from the manifold, is bolted on to the main assembly through two bolts which, which have a spring each over them. basically, what is happening is that when the exhaust gets extremely hot when u push the car really really hard, the springs soften up JUST a little more than normal, and the squeaking voice or the khrrr khrrrr comes from them. the moment u start driving like sane ppl again, or u stop by on a red light for a minute or so, the metal contracts back and the squeaking sound vanishes.when u put the car in neutral, as there is no pull, the exhaust remains stable even if u keep pressing the accelerator. hope i m making my point across. so...even if the car is neutral (and hot offcourse) and u push the exhaust center "dholki" here and there, the springs were squeaking, and here was the problem.
khair. now satisfied that the problem wasnt critical, i went straight to Honda guys and told the incompetent asses that wat was the problem. they lifted the car and sprayed those two springs with WD-40. now they have asked me to check the car again, and if the same sound still comes, they have asked me to drop the car with them in the morning so that they can rectify the problem. Either the springs would have to be changed, OR cleaned, OR adjusted...i dont know, but it is DEFINITELY the springs. i forgot to take the snap though, i am sorry.
hope tihs might help someone some day.
