ok ..that thing is sealed, means its cannot be easily done. i have read the following threads regarding CAT's cleaning.. thts y asking.

Sorry, I missed your post earlier, well sir as u can clearly see in the 2nd thread that the mechanic is cutting out a patch of metal to remove the converter. It can't be removed for cleaning and stuff, cz mostly, clogging is less than 40% due to carbon, that too in car's driven above 150k kms.
Besides cleaning doesn't make much of a difference as is made in case of removing, because the filters offer resistance no matter what.

Aoa all.
I'm facing a problem in my city regarding ABS.
The problem is that " ABS kick in too early". Whenever even I press half brake pedal. ABS kicks in and car won't stop as it used to be before. Today I had almost hit a Brand new civic from behind in F-11 markaz. I was cruising on 60kph. near signal. I pressed half brake pedal and car didnt stop properly. and it was going to kiss the rear bumper of civic untill I turned my car on left side to save collision.
Honda classic people serviced it's brakes today in the morning. They said brake pads are in good condition but still no use. Tyres are as good as new. Hardly 20k driven.
Can anyone provide me a solution?

Update: I have just noticed that level of brake fluid is low. can this be the reason?

No. Low fluid causing ABS to kick in early isn't THAT probable. Honda guyz may be didn't put the pads back properly which is causing the pads to stick to the rotors and consequently, locking the wheels.

Did it start today or earlier?

Update: I have just noticed that level of brake fluid is low. can this be the reason?

Indeed indeed... Me too looking forward to some of those extras on my car, not sure as have crossed 214k kms now, if they'll actually do any good. Plus pedal happy... hmm, its either ways, ya mai aapki type ka hoon ya aap meri type k hain. Baaten dono miltee jultee hain ustaa-jee.

I heard you live near thokar from "someone" I met on the way to lahore but couldn't get a nice time window to drop by just for hello hi purpose.

JazakAllah sir jee, sab kuch aap ka apna kia dharra hai. Planning to remove all these natural+synthetiec layers in the future, give it some pad polish, glaze and top it up again.

fluid goes down in two cases brake pads are worn or fluid has leaked. if your pads are good then maybe a leak somewhere

i m also having issues with my brakes since last one week or so. took the car for the 1000 kilometers inspection. they lifted the car and in addition to changing the engine oil and filter, i had requested them to rotate the tyres, front to the back and back to the front as mine are directional (advan db). when they opened the wheels, the cleaned the pads in the front and rear and also cleaned the drum in the rear. after getting the tyres rotated and leaving the showroom, since then my car produces a ggghhhooooooooonnn kind of sound every time u apply the brake even from say 65-70 km/hr to slow down, and the sound remains there till the time brake pedal is pressed. the moment u release it, the sound vanishes...the sound is just like the sound produced from the tyres of an Army jeep if u guys have heard it, i mean as the speeed descreaases, the sound also reduces till the time brake is applied....like a heavy humming voice.

what can b the reason ? the rotation of tyres after this less a reading, that too such top quality tyres can not be the reason , can it ? or is it again to do something with the wrong fitment of the brake pads

Sir jee pehli baat, whats the point in getting the wheels rotated only @ 1k kms?

Secondly, the ghooom ghoom sound is the ABS if I am not wrong. Tyres got nothing to do with this, I have the same tyres on my city and they rock, no problem whatsoever, except for the fact that I didn't let anyone come near the car.

I am sure they didn't adjust the disc pads properly and let me tell you: a mistake of a mere millimeter can cause the tires to lock up while braking and the ABS will kick in as soon as the sensors read a sudden drop in speed.

However, one thing u haven't made clear, does the sound change with the brake force applied? I mean, there is obviously a difference when the pedal is slammed and when its depressed slowly.
