The same sound is heard when I apply brakes. I got brand new Yokohama a drive tyres plus I have recently changed brakes pads, brake disks, rear drums and drum pads. Car has completed 2000km after the repairs and still I'm hearing ghooosh sounds while braking.

I also took the car for 1000km inspection the other day. Do you need to change the oil and filters at 1000 kms? they didn't changed mine. Regarding brakes, i am still driving with the stock euro tires and everything is working perfectly, will think to change the tires after 10,000 kms.

oh my bad..i m sorry...it was the 10000 km inspection (10k....not 1k) . it was a typo...and yes tyres have to be rotated every 10k for equal usage, and i know the tyres are wonderful...thats why i said that before this last inspection they were PERFECT....it just started coming after this inspection and in my opinion the rotation is NOT the reason....but still i m asking u guys, can it be ? or its the brake not getting adjusted

However, one thing u haven't made clear, does the sound change with the brake force applied? I mean, there is obviously a difference when the pedal is slammed and when its depressed slowly.

As i said, there is NO sound when driving normally..it ONLY comes when u brake...and it doesnt come from ABS...its not the ABS locking or anything....its the gggghhhhhhhoooonnnnn sound which comes when the brakes are applied and it lessens as the speed lessens....until it vanishes at a certain low speed

no u do not need to change anything.....and tyres u have to change ASAP bro...the ones u r using are rock hard

the ABS sound is ggggrrrrrrrr....not ggghhhooooooonn and i have also never let anyone come near the car. no one has EVER washed the car except me i m super touchy abt these things bro...the only thing they did was tyre rotation and cleaning of pads and drum

Where in rwp/isb, pref. in rwp should I go to get the work done.. Saeed Engg is not an option as am having a real bad experience with dat guy.... Any other suggestions plzzzz.....

Where in rwp/isb, pref. in rwp should I go to get the work done.. Saeed Engg is not an option as am having a real bad experience with dat guy.... Any other suggestions plzzzz.....

No Idea about the BEST place but I have heard that saeed etc are usually considered the best. I suggest you contact @huzaifaa bhai or @fahad_reloaded bhai for some precise info.

And why do you want to change the steering assembly? What are all these parts costing you?

OK. Since last few days my car had developed some weird sounds. A deep humming noise from back tires and usual thak thak sound of bushes going bad at front. Friends suggested to check Honda palace Hyderabad for price estimation of work required. Here is the list of expected and confirmed parts which have to be changed. Car is Honda City Vario 2004.

Confirmed items
1. Rear Wheel Hub Bearing=4650rs
2. Lower arm bush 2= 1500
3. Balance rod bushes=750
4. Cvt gear oil= 3360
5. Wheel alignment= 500

Suspected items
1. Linker arm r/s= 4400
2. Front 2 shocks= 19000
3. Brake oil= 250
4. Timing chain= 5500
5. Shock foundation= 1900
6. Suspension labour= 3500
7. Misc.(no idea)= 2000rs.

The total estimate ia whopping 47350/= rs.

I need suggestion guys.

Oh... Mis understanding I guess. Answer is still no. Rotation isn't the issue, advan dBs aren't rotational tyres. Brakes are the issue. may be a scum bag mechanic messed up or didn't bother calibrating the callipers properly.

Haha. I wondered why did u take the car to honda at just 1k kms. Cz mine is just at 2.5k kms. And now its clear that it isn't ABS. its definitely the mis-fit brake pads.

OMG. Front shocks for 19k! A shop in Gawal Mandi Rwp quoted me 11k Rs for all four shocks, OEM quality with guarantee of being 1 number.
