Sir, what fields do u plough with ur car? or do u use it for crushing stones?

The first owner was the culprit im innocent
actually my dad bought this car from his friend, god knows what was this car used for :-#
the car was pretty roughly used banged from the front aswell and the repair work was really shabby
anyway the damage has been done so looking for options to tackle with this problem

I think you are not familiar with the rust of karachi especially in the defence area. In defence the people have permanent contracts with the painters who paint there homes doors and grills every year. In defence even the fins of ceiling fans are rusted. So car is not a big thing. Actually the cars when new have rust proof coating on them but as we use the car some of the coating goes away and some other while the car is dented. So the metal is exposed with a coating of paint which is not strong enough to withstand high humidities >80%. Actually our local car manufacturers need to use the things that japanesse use because there the cars are not rusted that easily. I have seen a 5 month old corolla in defence with rust marks and that car had only 4000miles on the clock, in total scratchless original paint.

Window ac at my nania house in phase 5 fell off due to rust. The angular brackets were the first to go but later on the base twisted and ffinally fell off one day.

Rust is a big problem here just like any other coastal city

Exactly the previous owner used to live in Defence before he moved out of the City
And your right about Japanese cars too our 95 Corona still has very less rust and one of the previous owner lived in Clifton
so what do you suggest to get rid of this problem ?

Please Count me in too I'm a great fan of Honda and have kept almost all models of civic till reborn ... Now I have sold my reborn and am looking fwd to buy a zero meter city aspire automatic... im well aware of the issue. but rest did not cause those huge dents in the side panels, infact huge holes.

as for the shape, we dont really have any news about it yet. i believe its gonna be another year or so until the next model is launched in Pakistan. may be a bit more then a year. so go ahead n get urself the current one. it will give u gud value even if u have to sell it to get the newer one once its launched.

Thanks man! i also checked the indian honda website yesterday and they have the same shape with minute changes... i think they change its shape there a year or two prior to Pakistan... so I guess im safe

Actually the rust is an oxidation process in which the top layer of iron of ferous reacts with Oxygen or O2 to create ferous deposits and ferous oxide. As the time passes the metal gradually converts itself into gas and solid particles and mixes in the atmosphere. So the metalic layers shrinks and shrinks and the thickness reduces to the point where the metal is as thick as a paper and its strength is also like a paper. So the paper cannot withstand the winds and water pressure and small stones being deflected as the car is driven.

The only solution is to get these panels repaired but before that buy some cosmoline or cosmolone sorry if I am wrong but it has been suggested by Xulfiqar. Now take the sheets of metal that are to be used for denting. coat the sheets from both sides with cosmoline. Now weld the sheets. Some of the cosmoline will be damaged due to spark of welding torch, but you can recoat it from outer sides but it cannot be done from insides. But I assure you that by now you metal sheet would be protected from rust from outside 100% and from inside it would be protected by around 70-80%. After the denting and repair of panels has been done. Coat all the metal with some rust proof layer it is available with car paint shops. After the make the surface the puttin and paint the panel than apply top coat. For the inner side of wheel arches you can only paint on top of cosmoline no need to finish it.

I saw a video on youtube a while back they had cut the rusted metal sheet and weld a sheet precisely of the same measurement then grinded the weld to make the surface smooth the same can be done here but the welding was a bit different then whats done here

You can cut the side skirts for the procedure described by you but you cannot cut the metal from inner side of wheel arches also from underside of the car. Xulfiqar said that it is available with the person who sell guns but I dont know whether its available or not. Its dark brown yellowish in colour.

One more thing dont ever go for luck or damar or black compound. It eats out metal faster than anything. It basically corrodes the metal. Search for cosmoline on youtube and you will see that people are getting there cars whole undersides coated with cosmoline

Guys I have bought Mobil 1 5W50 Oil today for my City 04 Vario. Its original as per the shopkeeper and mobilclub Pakistan.

Mobile 1 4Litre 5W50 = 4000rs
Leppon Oil Filter = 180rs
Leppon Air Filter = 280rs

After how many kilometers should I change it?

I have been using Shell Helix Ultra 5W40 till now but I change it after every 5000 KMs. Now its time to change. As Shell Helix Ultra is now 5W30 only thats why chose Mobil 1 5W50.

My genuine odometer reading is 131,000KMs.

I have recently changed spark plugs as well and jerks on low rpm have been solved.

Today it started giving sound of a Riksha. that is soooo embarassing. despite doing regular cheups from MF honda 3S, I dont know why it is giving the Riksha sound. called Honda people, as usual they only know making bills and nothing else. i request all of you, please help me out how to solve the Riksha sound problem. Should I suo honda mother fuckers?
I would like to ask the Pakistani population, please don't waste you mony. dont ever go for Honda City. I am pissed off. and dont know how to get rid of this ****.

What? riksha sound? Must be a problem with your downpipe or silencer dholki.
Btw I'm using 2 cities in home. my 2010 one is clocked 71k. Still going strong M.A. No issues at all. Something's seriously wrong with your car.

Either your cars manifold gasket is gone or somehow your one of the dholkis got damaged.
