Underlay n firewall ??? Ye kya hein ???

firewall is the metal wall behind the dasboard which seperates the enginebay and passenger cabin.
underlay is anything u want to use as sound proofing thing, can be a carpet like sheet or sumthing similar which absorbes sound.

bro there can be no other reason of bad fuel economy other then the tuning of the car.make sure u ve got the tuning done as per the proper shedule included in the main post.
get the throttle body cleaned, also open the idle sensor from throttle body n clean it.get tappets done, change air filter, keep tyres properly inflated.thats pretty much all u can do to make ur car fuel efficient.
btw, if ur car has more then 40,000kms on it, the fuel filter may need to be changed though im not sure if this has effects on mileage too or not.

i did all of these throttle body , idle sensor from throttle body , honda gen air filter etc
and its done 72k
meine mechanic se pucha ha abt fuel filter he said its ok no need to change and if u change thn its not effect on mileage bcz its not mehran alto etc...

bro i think you SHOULD change the fuel filter even if its not the problem.because it will certainly improve the performance of the car and may be fuel economy too.and yes, is cng installed in ur car? or was it ever installed? if yes, make sure the air filter blockage they put for cng has been taken out.otherwise fuel economy and performance on petrol will certainly drop.also try to shift gears before 3000rpm for maximum fuel economy.

as for arm rest, any poshish wala guy will make one for u.or if u want plastic armrest, u can get from any decoration shop.there are a few in saddar, one of the good one is dubai autos (owner from pakwheels). its on the road which goes left from mareer chowk if u are comming from kfc wali road, saddar side.or try F10 in isb.

u need to keep the car at 2000 RPM to achieve much higher mileage
which basically means u shift into 5th gear as soon as u touch 60km/h

do not let the RPM go above 2500 by shifting to higher gear

i am getting 110 km on full tank of CNG..is that mileage ok? with only minimal usage of AC..?

secondly, i hear dashboard noise whenever the car passes from pot holes or bumps..is that normal?

Your car is doing good. My city gave me 12.5 initially. But now I am getting 13.5 to 14.5 after 5000 KM.

This average is very good for me as Karachi traffic and my office route is considered to be the busiest in the town.

You should get better average gradually.

I drove to Hyderabad and my car gave me average of 18.7 KM / Litre and believe me that's outstanding.

These days I am getting average of Rs. 5 / KM i.e. my tank got filled in Rs.2500 and I get 480 to 500 KM in it.

well, neither of these is normal.u gotta look into the tuning issues of ur car to improve the mileage.as for the sound from dashboard, nothing really helpful can be done for that

I have bought the new city last week and i have a few questions:

what is the mileage difference for the city on petrol and on cng? what i have learned is about Rs. 1-1.5 per km difference. if this difference is correct, should i opt for cng if my daily travel is approx 50km?

what is the best option for windscreen cleaner fluid?

i want to add 2 new speakers to the car in addition to existing ones and with original alpine cd/usb player. which speakers and from where to get them in islamabad/rawalpindi?

New Civic will be launched in Pakistan in September 2011.

Price will be around 2,300,000/- for fully loaded version.

For City lovers Honda planned to launch its 1500 CC version earlier but now decided against it and will continue producing the the existing version.

I personally believe that for drivers having daily ride of 30-70 KM CNG is not a good option. I haven't installed it on my car too.

Bcoz at petrol you get Rs. 5 / KM average and I think you will get around 3.5 to 4 on CNG so its better to use it on petrol bcoz it takes you around 3 - 4 years to cover CNG cost so as to achieve equilibrium price and its better to save engine from CNG ( As discussed with MASTER AHMAD ).

Yes, if your driving session is long enough like 100 and above KMS per day then you might opt for CNG.

I am from Karachi so can't let you know about speakers market in ISB but you can add Pioneer or Kenwood normal range speakers 3000 - 5000 rupees to get a reasonable sound.

I installed JVC speakers in the rear which costed me Rs. 3500.

For wind screen cleaner fluid just stick to Honda fluid as it ocassionally require add on here in Karachi. I have got my car in September 2010 and have used only few times ( the wipers ).
