what mileage should I expect on CNG? with Ac and without AC?

well, atleast 120-130km/cyl in city with upto 140 in city without ac and 150-160 on highways with ac and around 160-170 on highways without a.c.

currently, my car isnt well tuned but before this, (When it was fine tuned) it used to do upto 180km/cyl with a.c on highways and 150 in local with a.c. though it requires a light foot.

I have bought the new city last week and i have a few questions:

[/LIST] what is the mileage difference for the city on petrol and on cng? what i have learned is about Rs. 1-1.5 per km difference. if this difference is correct, should i opt for cng if my daily travel is approx 50km?

well, to get to the point where i CAN say something, let me say that i cant help with the sound system and windscreen cleaner issues i have no experience with either.
Now...
your car is brand new.you HAVE to drive on petrol for the first 5000kms.because this is the 'running' period of the engine.u can only consider cng kit after doing that.
while doing this 5000kms, keep an eye on the fuel economy.i can safely say that it wud be around 11-12km/ltr in local driving.well, dont panic.thats ok.all cars give bad mileage and performance when totally new.the mileage starts getting better AFTER 5000kms.depending on the driving habit and traffic etc, it will go upto 14km/ltr (went there for my car) in local driving.thats pretty good i wud say.

so, decide about getting cng after 5000kms.the avg mileage on one cylinder on cng will be around 140km locally and 160 on highways.and one cylinder should cost 500rs easily.the difference in cng and petrol is, very, pretty noticeable after the recent price hike on petrol.50km a day is the boundary line.someone driving below it should NOT get cng and someone doing more then that should.now u have to decide urself.
CNG wont really harm the engine anywhere before 2 lakh kms (or u can say it will start harming the engine from day one but u wont be in trouble before doing 2 lakh kms) so i think u dont need to worry about the engine.

now do that maths and decide urself!

Guys .. can someone link me to the original booklet/manuals which comes with City Vario 2007, I recently bought one and wanted to take a look as one day for a moment I saw my "D" light blinking.

I got my transmission and oil filters changed lately after which it happened but never seen it again.

it happened again today .. can someone with autotranny guide me on this one... so it seems like when my gear switching is stuck, the "D" lights starts blinking and it starts dropping speed. I pulled over a short while ago and turn the car off and back on again which resolved it. But it does seems something serious... can someone let me know what is wrong here. I'll certainly take it to Pit Stop soon.

Well I also bought the Vario 35K driven almost a month ago, and soon after the purchase, I changed the Transmission + Engine Oil and all the filters. I then took the car on a long drive on M2, the drive was really a pleasure but faced the very same issue once during the trip i.e. I stopped @ Bhera for a while, and when started the journey again, I put the car in "D" mode but its corrosponding light starts blinking and also the Check Engine lights shows up. I switchd off the engine, restarted and the blinking stops and also the Check engine light gone. This only happened once till now.

I am also looking for the manual of City Vario as I also dont have the one, and want to investigate what went wrong on that day. Also another thing that i noticed yesterday was, even I put the car in "N" I feel that the brakes are applied as I was on a downhill area (not very steep), and I put the car in "N" mode to make it neutral, but the car was not moving at all which I belive it should. Any one else also face this issue or is it normal for a CVT ?

Urgent help will be appreciated

Hi guys, i purchased a Honda City 2002 model exis a few weeks ago. The car is in good condition i would give it 7.5/10. Its working great on petrol but i was having a slight problem on CNG. On second and first gear specially during a downshift after reducing speed the car would not accelerate and the RPM would stay low. It increases slowly after going a little shallow on pedal. I got the tuning done on CNG & Petrol and the car's pick is much better now. The guy cleaned the air filter, spilled some oil on the throttle body and adjusted a few nobs here and there. The pick is much better now but RPM s not stable , he fixed the RPM at 8-900 but it has automatically increased to a little over 1000 and sometimes hovers around in between 1000-1300. But if i turn on the AC it gets stable at around 1250. If i switch on Petrol the rpm hovers a bit more harshly i would say in between 300-400 range. But if i turn on the AC it gets stable. The car overall is working nice, i am yet to calculate the mileage but pick and stuff is good & smooth. I asked the guy about the hovering and he suggested throttle body service. What do u guys think i should do ?

Bro, here's what I did today .. last night I did all my research on the error codes, I downloaded service books and managed to find it online too (Transmission Driveline)

Early morning I ran to the PIT STOP around Wapda Town, Lahore and met the guy .. explained the history to him and he immediately told me that it was tranny oil issue (I was so stupid to believe someone that regular tranny oil would work) ... I asked him to put PGM tester on it and tell me what is the error code saved in the memory from last night around 2 AM ... he said it's going to cost me 1000 which I accepted and the error exactly confirmed he Transmission error with some code I don't recall now but I read it online here last night (Control System DTC)

So they changed my tranny oil with the original CVT oil and some other tests were run and some things changed... I ended up with this :-! :

My 2cents, don't delay it and go to PIT STOP, the engineer told me that I was fortunate that ZIC oil didn't blew my transmission in 3 days I drove on it .. .guess I'm a lucky one

@binaryzero: Thanks alot fot the information bro, but I had changed the transmission oil with the very genuine Honda original CVT transmission oil from Honda Centre Rawalpindi, and this fault i had seen afterwards but luckily this happened only once yet and after that I drove about 3K KM till now and didnt see the issue again, so keeping my fingures crossed that this will never happen again

all of those are signs on a clogged throttle body.ur mechanic is doing temporary adjustments which wont go for more then a day or two.get throttle body properly cleaned and also get tappets adjusted. that ll fix it up.

damn! never knew that putting ordinary oil in cvt tranny wud cause such a mess! though i never recommend other then OEM oil for honda cvt but never knew this.good to know u both got oem oil now and hope fully the problem will be gone.
